Armada Bindings??

I saw sum kid this weekend w/ next years T-Halls and he had like a pink binding but like clear plastic on one side and a black binding on the other, they looked exactly alike and they looked like a look lifter binding, is armada gunna be putting out bindings next year?

 
first line makes a binding, 4frnt's creating a binding also and now armada! seemes like line started making bindings first! wow they have good ideas even though their own team riders wont ride them

if they are gonna make bindings, i wouldnt be surprised if they were just stock look lifters or something, and they just slapped their logo on it

i personally like the idea of an armada binding....it sucks right now buying an independent company ski, because you have to put bindings from another company on them.....i hope they do

Since when is putting bindings from another company stupid?

If it was actually stupid, dont you think that all companies would make their skis only compatible with their own bindings?

i dunno i dont really care about having the same manufacturers of a binding and ski. i'd rather put a binding i like on whatever ski i like

not going to tell you what you ssaw but sounds like you saw a Vist binding they come in all types of plastic colours and as a side note wist makes 4frnt's bindings so in all likely hood that is what you saw
 
i think it actually makes more sense that way...if they're good bindings, and you love armada skis, you can get the whole package from armada. its like buying a quality mtn bike. if you get some cheap ass bike from wal mart the reason it is cheap is because it has mismatched parts and two monthes later the bike doesnt shift anymore. well, when you buy for instance an upper level kona bike all the parts are specifically designed to be compatible with all the rest. its very similar to skis i think, not that look bindings dont work on rossi skis only that armada skis and binding together could perhaps be a very quality combination.

your bike example is weak, and almost exactly the opposite of what you said. cheap bikes fall apart because they use cheap components, usually made by the same company that produces the frame and fork. if you buy a high end bike, you generally pick every component yourself. Bike components are standardized, just like ski bindings, to work with everything. There are exceptions, such as the BBs on a bike or integrated binding systems with skis, but for the most part, standardized compatibility yields greater sales for a company, and offers many more options for the perfectly tailored feel the end-user is looking for
 
4frnt never made bindings, they had their logo applied onto vist bindings before and this season to tyrolia bindings
 
I dunno about the bike analogy..... no matter what bike you have if you keep it tuned right it will keep shifting. If you ride quite a bit and you don't touch anything for 2 months, any bike is going to stop shifting. I use a 16 speed Devinci Kicker for jumping and freeride, It definitely is not a cheap wal mart bike and I have to fiddle with the drive train after pretty much every ride to keep it even working.
 
and sorry about double post, as for the Armada bindings, I think it would be really cool if they made them independantly, and even cooler if they were great bindings, but the first year for a company to make a binding, I would expect it to suck. Even top of the line bindings seem to fail pretty often, judging by accounts on here. I think bindings are pretty much like the knees of ski equipment. They are usually the first thing to go, They are really delicate and have a lot of small parts, they are essential to skiing, and you're fucked when the get broken.
