Armada ARVti: Anybody Ridden It?

The original ARV is my favorite ski and I'm curious as to how the new replacement ARVti compares. So if anybody has ridden it or something share your experience. Can't find too much on this ski. Seems like the Al Dente kind of edged out the old ARV since that was what Henrik was riding before he got the pro model.
 
I'm having a dilemma over which ski to get. I was gonna get some ARV's, but i'm pretty sure they made them a lot stiffer than last years with a titanium core. I want a soft ski like the old ARV, but I'm not gonna buy the Al Dente cause I'm not Henrik Harlaut. I like armada but damn, did they really have to change a classic ski like that?
 
I assumed thats what the ti meant. They say the ski has a top and bottom layer of titanal, which i think is more like aluminum actually.
 
The ARVti isn't really that stiff, but it freaking rails! It did lose some of the slower speed playfulness that the old arv had, but the aldente fills that role now. I don't think a lot of people realize that the al dente is the same ski dimensionally as the ARVti. I think the aldente got a bad rap because soo many kids were saying, "it's the most buttery shit ever!!!" Without actually skiing them. They feel, flex wise, just like the old arv. Spark notes: if you want a playful, capable, all mtn ski get the al dente, if you want a ripping all mtn ski with solid edge hold, that will load up with energy well while carving at speed, and a little extra backbone for bashing Tahoe crud, get the ARVti.
 
I get what you're saying. And it's true, the Al Dente has kind of gotten a bad rep because of what I've read on here. I ski a lot slower and more playful rather than ripping so I think the Al Dente would be better for me right? Not looking to get new skis anytime soon, but when my current ARVs retire I'll be looking that way.
 
Al Dente's flex felt vaguely similar to the old ARV's to me. Much, much softer in the nose, and maybe a bit softer in the tail. Whoever's worried about the Al Dente being too playful for charging fast, don't worry. It's a really sturdy ski, didn't feel like I was going to wheely out at all at high speeds.
 
bump, my ARVs finally broke so i might get some arvti's, but since im getting them for my park/resort ski and i'm 5'11" i wish they didnt come in 178 and 188 cause 178 seems too small and 188 too big (for a park/resort/rails ski)

is it 188/178 now instead of 175/185 because of the nose rocker?

can anyone offer some input?
