Armada arv

If it's the ARV's that you want, you should definitely go with the 185's. the 175's would be much too small for your height/weight. How much park skiing do you do as opposed to all mountain?

r u sure 185 seems a bit long. i ski 60% allmountain and 40% park. i measured the skiies and they seemed right for me y would you say the 185?

i've just got them. i'm 6'1" and about 170 pounds, i have them in 185

they are fairly soft, for some sort of performance in the park, however they have the specs to be sick floating in the pow.

couldn't be happier with mine, although i havent skied them yet, first outing in christmas

How exactly did you measure them?? They're not snowboards, they don't go to about your chin or your nose. You have to take into consideration that you are fairly large. Ski size is generally based more upon weight than height, but since you are large in both categories, the obvious choice is the 185cm. I am 6'2", 160 lbs and I ride 185's. If you are not a strong skier, a 175 might be a better option for you personally. They may seem like they are a bit long, but if you have been riding skis shorter than you have should been, they sure will seem small. Once you get a few runs on them, you will adapt quickly and realize they are the proper ski size based on your height/weight.

if you are not planning to use them in pow then i think you should look for a different ski,

something like scratches. good all mountain ski with a better park performance. In my opinion there is no need for skis 95mm underfoot for cruising piste and park, they will hinder your performance

Honestly, it's all about preference but I wouldn't hesitate to go for 185s.

For example, I'm 5'7", 135 lbs. and I have the 06-07 ARV in 175s. They are a tad big, but I enjoy them and it gives me a chance to grow in to them. If you get 175s, you will just toss them around (which is OK if that's what you want to do) but you should definitely get 185s.

im 6'2" and i ride 185 arvs, i love fat skis in the park and out of the park. they arent the best for ripping groomers, but o well.

i am 6 one and wiegh about 195 pounds and rode 185 arvs last season and they were perfect size. i am getting new ones if you woould like to pick them up because i found out they mounted them wrong last year.

Obviously it will be a little more difficult to spin the larger size, but it's a small price to pay. You would so easily overpower the 175. The ARV is soft to begin with, and with 200lbs the thing would be a noodle. Not to mention very little float in the pow. Go with the 185, maybe mount a little further than suggested if you want them to be easier to spin.

Thought about the JvJ's? I looked at the ARV but the flex pattern is wayyyy too similar to my foils from last year - stiff underfoot and noodly as can be in the tips. A guy ur size would probably destroy that ski in any size (and not in a good way). If ur going above 90 underfoot also check out the Volkl Bridge and Dynastar Big Touble. Peace
