Armada ARV Questions

I just was looking at the new Armada Arv, the pink/black base and they look like a perfect ski for what I do, good all around mountain ski, pow, and stuff. I ride park mostly jumps and the occassional rails. I am around 5 10 and currently ride Atomic tweaks 172. i would like to get Arv in 175. just wanted some opinions. i know the arv is considerably wider also. i ride on the east coast and hit up okemo and snow .

Thanks

pink and black? that sounds like the OLD 185s to me. YOu mean the blue/red/purple with mountains landscape in pastels? They are pretty soft

Well it is the best ski I've ever ridden. I am the same size and ride about 60% BC 40% Park. They are the perfect ski for me but I have had them since Thankgiving break, check out what happened to them in the thread called Broken Armadas in ski gabber. Other than dealing with warranty bullshit, I fuckin loved them.

that really sucks about the broken ski, kinda scary

not sure which ski to get, mostly park-mainly big jumps, some trees and pow with the occasional groomers, really like armadas, suggestion?

thanks

arvs on the east coast arent really necessary there really isnt that much pow in okemo even an ar5 would be good for u or something like the scratch fs but if u like armada get the ar5 or if your stuck on gettin a fatter ski then go wit the arv

hmm are the ar5 any more durable? I really like the arv much better, just playing around with the idea

not sure bout the length, not much pow and I currently ride 172, 185 are a good bit bigger probably right though

yea I think a 175 arv would be pretty sweet for where i ride ,a little bit wide but i could deal with that for the occasional pow.

any more opinions welcome

thanks

No, they are the softest ski I think I've ever felt or ridden myself. The guys at the shop also said they were the softest they've seen. But, they hold up surprisingly well at higher speeds. In crud they blow balls, it is almost impossible to do anything. In pow they are like and orgasm and even better on BC booters. I rode mine for 2 months.

they are the most amazing park ski in a 175. I thoroughly enjoy them in the park, and everywhere else they are really amazing as well.

i skied at mount snow on arv's last year and they rocked out, a great ski for east coast powder woods and park
