Armada ARV 175cm

What can you tell me about the ARV in 175 besides the sub-par graphics?

I'd really like to know since I can get the skis of my choice this year, money not being an option, and I'm going to buy local and since they sell Armada at the store I support and they're fat and 175cm, what can you say about them?

I only want to hear from people who've actually ridden the ski, I'll be riding both park and pow and some groomers too.

i havent ridden them (yet) but to be quite honest, i would buy the Ar5 if youre only going 175. Theyre not much fatter than the Ar5,at that size, and for 100 more, doesnt seem worth it. However, the 185s are chill. Mounting points are all almost center, and the flexes almost seem to be perfect for all conditions. Hope this helps...

Armada graphics are awesome, and be warned that if Harvey sees this post in which you rip on Armada, he will get mad.

Where do you ski? What do you want to use them for? How big are you?

I have skied the 175 arv's. loved them, i skied them on the east coast, and found thenm crazy stable ie 90mm waist, but i thought they ripped in the park, switch was a joke, they carved really nice, tons of pop, slow edge to edge because of the girth. I had a blast on them. If you want a fat park ski the width of 90 makes the 175 easyier to handle in the park. the 185 would be too hard. for me anyway. As far as backcountry powder goes....haven't tried them there, i have heard the 185 kills it in the backcountry. so depending on how big you are...and what you plan to use it for.......

deffinatly hook up the arv for sure but if i were you id pick up the 185's. i bought the 175's and im kickin myself for it now cause i want something bigger(im 6 foot). but ive had them since january and have ridden everything on them. they rip in any condition.

oh yeah and harvey does ride them in 175

Skiing Deep pow and park that is either soft or rock hard. 6 feet tall, prefer a shorter ski (175 for example). I will be spending 95% of my days at Shames Mountain in Northern BC. THat's skiing the Coast Mountains, which are said to be second best for skiing, only behind AK. Seth's favorite place. And again, don't just say 'get the 185' because i don't want something that long for park. If I did I'd probably get Pollard Pro's instead.

The ARV will treat you well.If you like a shorter ski then go with the 175. You would def float better and rip faster with the 185, but if you like a shorter ski, the ARV 175 kicks ass.
