Armada ARG?

The are insane.....

I got an early issue of Powder Mag. at the OR tradeshow in SLC. It says that Armada is going to release them in November. And it says the dimensions are going to be 125-135-133-134-120. I can't wait to see a pair.

really? well im interested to see a pair but are you sure there sticking with a november release date cause i have heard nothing from the rep

whoa so like this?

arg.jpg

yes i was bored

i talked to a few people and apparently the arg or what ever they finially use is spose to replace one of the models, possibly the jps or the arv. I dont think they will get very far with them, not with the demensions that are posted on here. Theres just not a big enough market of a reverse camber ski

^yeah maybe, but when pow days happen in tahoe ALL the soul brohan skiers roll up with spatulas, so you never know, maybe they'll all switch to ARGs.

yah but I wasn't referring to sidecut, I was referring to camber. because you can have reverse camber that runs through the entire ski (spatulas) or you can have it only under the tip and tail, which means the contact points on the base are closer to the center thus making the contact area bigger.

I totally agree. It is cool but you can't sell that many. I hope they don't get ride of the ARV. That is the best all mountain everyday ski on the market.

Sick they sound awesome.

Does anyone know a price range? Are they going to be a 1,000 dollars like the pontoons.

see thats why i find any info on this new ski that i find on this site extreamly sketchy. The only info i could get is that there was spose to be a ski that replaces on of their other skis. With the new "speciality" series that they have i see the "arg" going into there instead of replacing a skis. I could be wrong tho. I just dont see armada mass producing a reverse camber ski when the market is too small for the reverse's that we have allready. If anything they will make a smaller amount of skis much like they have with the pipe cleaner. With only 500 units available world wide there is enough to sadisfy the market that wants them with out wasting cash on unnessary product that will go unsold.

We talked about this earlier and everyone denied that these could be fat skis, but now I think we were all originally correct:

Nah.....that happened alot, its the fisheye lens. And playas......the Osamas are real man. I seen them.

those should be it, cause look at the lightmeter. the ski looks about twice as wide as the lightmeter. and a ski that is twice as wide as a light meter is pretty darn fat in my book.

hahhaa not really.....have you ever held a light meter man. hahaha it is an eye trick. And think about it, why would Armada use an old graphic for their new skis.

new issue of powder has them in it, pick it up they look epic. almost spatulas but with a tiny sidcut to handle the ride to the lift, ill call it a pontoon spatula mix.

you've got the base right, but the topsheet is pink, and yellow, and blue and all kinds of shit... I've got a pick of it right infront of me. Its in the buyers guide in the new powder issue

hahaha. that will be changing soon...

if you only knew what a reverse camber ski is capable of!

just thought i'd point out, this design is not so original. the K2 boys have been slaying with tools like this all season.

Yes, I have held a light meter. And a ski that is 2 light meters wide is not the AR5. I know its a fisheye, I know how they work, but that looks too blown out of proportion even for a fisheye...

and armada would probably use a current graphic for a new ski because they are prototypes. it happens.
