Armada ARG Prototype

Rumor has it that our good friends at Armada are working on their own reverse-sidecut, reverse-camber pow weapon (ala Spatula, Pontoon). Prototype models, named the ARG, were spotted up at Squaw Valley, but there's no word yet on whether the ski will make it into Armada's 2007 quiver. The ski has some regular sidecut underfoot making it much more skiable on anything other than deep pow, but it still kills it when the going gets deep.

every ski company needs to make a ski like that. reverse camber is the ill shit in the gnar gnar

yea whats your "reliable source"? is it some other thread on here, cus i dont think that one ever proved itself either

Chris , we need those fool, woo hoo im excited i hope this turns out. I want a powder ski bigger than my jp's and i want to ski jp's all mountain and park.

I can neither confirm or deny the claims, you have to wait until next season cos u sure ain't gonna find anything out before the end of this season.

it means that teh ski curves upward instead of downward

Regular camber

Now imagine that but with the tips up and the center down

That would be cool, especially if the Pontoons don't have a twin-tip. Not that I'll be buying a pair.

It must have an hourglass shape if it has regular sidecut underfoot and reverse everywhere else. That's a cool little add on to the ski.

actually they do have a turned up tail...

I have skied ten days now on a pair of 179 pontoons at squaw....some of these "sighting" have possibly been my skis...they are all white, blue sidewalls, with shane's FIS sucks sticker on the tail...hand pressed at Vashon with slightly different dimensions than the production run which may be avaible at some selct shops nexts month

I think its funny that Volant did this years before anyone else and K2 has the pontoon coming out for 2007 so why all of a sudden is aramda getting into this? they aren't developing something new yeah it may have a diffent core and some fatty edges (which if it did would be retarted cuz this ski should never touch rails) gotta love how Mconkey was way ahead of everone on this one

Yes, because it's really likely it'd make it into next years' lineup even if they made one, after all the catalogues have gone out. You know it'd help if you made your rumours semi-plausible.

Im to hard on skis to have an expensive custom ski, my jps might be delaming , i cant tell . You can look at them later this week. I had a shot on the topsheet that went to the core i epoxied but it didnt hold, then 4-5 inches down the ski the topsheet is splitting from the lower layers, check it out.

There have been multiple sightings at Squaw by reliable people that would not confuse one ski with another. It may not be released but I don't find it hard to believe that they are trying some things out.

so far from what people have said regarding the shape...they made the tip thinner.

stupid. The spats need to be bigger. they were too small.

Hopefully they are actually improving on the design.

It will good to have a spat with no metal too.

Seriously, though, anyone looking for a ridiculous pow ski check out the DrakePowderworks Lotus 138. It is going to crush everything.

nah.....they need to be small like a swallow tail.....so that your tips go up.....naturally......and it is easyer to turn

North Shore Ski and Board. And I did so a while ago. Apparently they are getting the first 2 pairs in BC, apparently. But both are spoken for.
