my opinion of the ski still does not change, it is ridiclous and there is not much of a mraket for it. I doubt armada will keep it around for that long and I deffinalty think it will have a limited realease much like the pipe cleaners. Over all I thinks its a waste of ski material, but im still shure that some kid will get his daddy to buy it for him

Yeah, no one's gona buy these, I mean, why would Armada make a ski in the same vein as NO OTHER ski company, certainly not DP, 4Front or K2... Definately no market for these, I mean, they would suck in park...

Not real good with sarcasm, eh? I was commenting on buddy up there's claim that they are a waste of 'ski material'... They're obviously a pow specific ski and from what I imagine they'll be pretty succesful as a niche ski.

your right and your wrong. these skis dont have a very big market, and they will probably only release a limited supply. However if you do alot of backcountry pure pow skiing, or your mountain gets shit on each year with feet of fresh snow, or you have the cash to buy a powder only ski then I see this ski being sold and staying around. If youve ever tried skiing a reverse sidecut ski in pow, you would know that they are gods gift to powder hounds and by far the greatest technology for pow skis.

Are thos skis in the background of that first pic those Lib Tech Skis with magnetraction... whats the deal with those.... anyone tried them.....

maybe I should just create a new post

^thin tail, tip floatage.. i wonder how they handle though, like could you even try to ski a groomer with those beasts?

hahahha...thats kind of the whole idea, man. its supposed to make going through pow more like floating on water (waterskis and surfboards are shaped like that).

also, props to volant, of all companies, for being far ahead of the curve on this one.

i think they look siick...only that they look kind of frankenstein because of the dimensions.

They are a powder ski, not a carving ski.

Now let's all place bets on when every company starts making skis exactly like the pontoons.

The tails sink, the tips float. The skis have reverse camber, so there's really no way you can sink the tips. And you don't want your tails working to float anyway, unless you like doing cartwheels or skiing backseat.

if the tail is supposed to sink, and for sure it is MUCH skinnier than the front, how could you possibly go switch?

I saw them and when you look close you can actually see were the five dimensions come into play....they are obviuosly a pow ski but im curious to how they actually are on the groomers for a ski the crazy phat yo

Kids.

Do your homework.

Go skiing. Try to carve. Then try to ski powder. Then find some breakable crud, heavy slush etc.

And most of all, READ this. I mean read ALL of it and then think some:

(Ps. that kind of design/design is not only for pure neck deep pow as almost everyone here claims...think about all kind of so called "crappy" snow conditions. Those tips just don't hook up, that's the whole point)
