Armada ar7 vs Moment Reno Jib

yeah really cant go wrong with either company..... this is gonna sound bad but since they're both so good, just go with which ever graphic makes you more chubby in the pants.

haha yeah i got ya man. the ar7 or 8 (whatever) have pretty cool graphics for next year but i havent seen any pictures of the jibs for next year yet

If you are really set on either of those, regardless of their differing flex characteristics then its whether you want a fully symmetrical ski from moment or an asymmetrical from armada. Personally i would go fully symmetrical because the ar7s are not designed to be centre mounted.

i wouldnt say any ski is "supposed" to be centered or not centered because there are a huge amount of asymmetrical park skis out there and if you mount center or uncentered its preference but i always mount em centered

I think you misunderstood - AR7s are designed to be mounted 2.5cm back. If you mount them centre it does interfere with turn radius, flex etc. The Moments are designed to be mounted at centre. If you mount them anywhere else then you are also messing with turn radius and flex.

If you want solely a park ski, get symmetrical. If you want a ski to carve round the mountain on and do park, get asymmetrical.

Why armada dont offer a symmetrical ski i dont understand. If the AR7 was i would buy it in an instant.

i understand that my friend but im pretty sure anyone who buys the ar7 and mounts them centered will get not a "worse" flex, but just different which may help or just change the ski but i know many people with ar6 and i just know that almost everyone who has the ar7 will most likely have them centered

Ar7s suck monkey balls. They go super soft after and keep getting softer til they delam.

Jibs are much better skis, get them.

hey man, everyone can have an opinion but you have to give a reason toward why which is better than the other, dont just hate on one.

and in your 2011 season edit on your page you said you skid 125 days but i see zero clips of you using ar7s only on3p skis...

Ever heard of not kicking your skis together on the chair lift?

The first pair(Ski in photo is from first pair) lasted me only 15-20 days(not even past christmas). Not enough to fuck up a capped top sheet.

The second pair is my local shop hooking me up with another pair for super cheap.

This is my opinion on the ski. If you like them and didnt break them good for you.

I really liked them the first few days of riding but after that, meh.

can anybody give me some sort of view or picture of the 2012 jibs? i havent really got to see them yet and havent got any chance to see someone ride em

This in regards to skiing switch. Guys were shredding switch long before "center mount" and "symmetrical". Sure it might be a tad easier but that shouldn't be a buying factor at all man.

yeah ive ridden non symmetrical park skis my whole life and im fine skiing switch with em, sure a symmetrical might be a bit easier... but it doesnt necessarily make it a better park ski
