Armada ar7 vs Moment Reno Jib

1. Your Size and Weight2. What do you ski? (Probably park because they are park skis)-If park rails/jump ratio3.What kind of skier are you (beginner, intermediate, advanced, aggressive, conservative)?
 
yeah i want a fun messaround ski and i ski like 75% park, im 140 pounds and im an intermediate/advanced skiier but im not too aggressive and i do about 70% rail, 30% jumps
 
Either ski would be great for you. The thing is, do you like to ski switch? Skiing switch on the Ar7's isn't so fun because I have a harder time doing it, but on the Reno Jibs' (symm ski) it's super easy and really fun.
 
If you have your AR7s center mounted, they ski switch great. Even though they're not symmetrical, you don't notice it when you're skiing.
 
Not really, I skied my friend's center mounted Ar7's and I had a tougher time skiing switch, then on symm skis.
 
yeah, I guess you'd notice it quite a bit if you switched from a symmetrical ski right after you were skiing on it. once you get used to it, it's barely noticeable.
 
Yeah probably. I guess its weather or not you want a symm ski when it comes down to it. Both Reno Jibs and Ar7's are super fun. Either ski won't be a bad choice.
 
ar7 is softer andthus more playfull so it will be better in pow. i would get the ar7 it is a great ski and skiing switch is so easy kangbang must have learned to ski switch on a symitrical ski so dont go by hus judgement on that.
 
fighting isnt worth it guys haha, but i will not be skiing much pow at all if any, but will both hold up to groomers fine or which is better, worse, more stable?
 
haha theres my problem im tryin to get pros and cons to fin which one i would prefer.

By the way, which will hold up better on ice? im on east coast and i commonly get ice days
 
I would go AR7. I got to ride my brothers a few times this year and they were really sick. They were light and poppy, but not too stiff. They seem pretty durable, and if they're anything like my AR6s, they'll last a long time unless you really beat the shit out of them. They'll most likely perform better on groomers than the Moments since they're not symmetrical/meant to be center mounted, and I found that I could carve them pretty damn hard. I wouldn't worry about skiing switch on them, because if you're having trouble, you probably can't ski switch anyway. I skied switch on them perfectly fine and they were mounted -2.5, which I thought was perfect for the ski.
 
my ar7's are amazing on ice the edge lasts because they have that 2.0 edge thing for extra strengh and the flex is super fun it is buttery and stiff at the same time, it is weird when you think about it but it is such an amazing ski.
 
exactlyi love mine they are absolutely great in all conditions for them being park skis like i was able to ski the switch in pow haha also very soft and playful.they also hold up really nicely on the ice but i dont know i ski in the west so i dont really know those conditions sorry.
 
after half a season of riding on them, I can definitely say my edges didn't last very long at all. I still love the ski though.
 
yeah haha i really wish i did but my mountain has a pretty good park so and i ski lots of really tight trees so i wanted something that would flex around them haha but im thinking about get the caylors
 
where do you ski? i am moving to denver this year and am probably getting an epic pass and am trying to figure out a place that has some good powder spots.
 
well i just know that the ar7s hold up really nicely on the ice, (When im spring skiing) and the edges are super durable as well i hit rails all year long and they are still sharp enough to scrape my finger nails
 
no, but seeing as only armada has the ar50 sidewall which is what makes the ar7 a great ski i am pretty confident in saying that the ar7 has the lightest swing weight on the market.
 
To help you with the ice topic, I went back to MN over winter break. I had two straight weeks of fuckin around on ice with my ar7's and they held up great. I have no experience on jibs, but i do own night trains and those are the best ski in the history of man (probably an exaggeration) . The jibs are probbly great too, but a company that is smaller and based in the west makes em. Armada makes skis for "all over the world" conditions. I would go ar7 if you ski the beast. ( btw i still have ar5's from my cousin that were beat to shit and i love them.) durability won't be a problem. Ar7 my man
 
you also can barley ski, just bc you cant do it doesnt mean a single thing.

Ive skied both and you really cant go wrong, I like moment more for the fact its USA made.
 
i love shit that is made in the USA but as far as ski i dont think you can beat austria. which is where armada is made.
 
I have the ar7's and I ski east coast and there's honestly nothing bad I can say about them. I haven't skied the moment skis, but skiing ice is great with the ar7's, no chatter, firm edge, don't feel washed out at all once you get on edge. But at the same time if your just messing around on flat or in the park, they flex nice and smoothly. They're suuuuuper durable with armada quality, and I mean if Jacob wester hits 70+ foot jumps with them, I think we can officially establish they're stiff enough for that. Overall, great ski.
 
nice man thanks. overall next year i think im leaning toward the ar7 (or 8 whatever they are calling it) cause i have heard great things about em but i really havent heard much about the jibs so i feel like im leaning toward armada for now
