Hey NS,

Once again I have another question about some skis. I have decided to stick with this years models and Armada.

My problem this time is that I can't decide what to get between AR7's or Alpha 1's. I was hoping I could post some of my details for what I want to use these skis for and you guys can tell me what I should do.

K, so I want these skis to be for Park alone. I may rip with them from time to time around the hill but I want them to be for park. Good on rails, great for jumps, stiffer, faster, not too heavy.

I heard the park rocker was great for park skiing, Im not sure if it is a fad or if it actually works, I would like to have a ski that can help me progress this year.

Thanks alot. BTW I'll give +++++K for all suggestions.

i would lean towards the alpha 1...

this year's graphic is epic (and cooler than this year's ar7 in my opinion)

the alpha 1 and ar7 have the same core, so stiffness is a mute point

the alpha 1 does have lower swing weight and spin like a top... but i would say the ar7 is a better all-mt ski, which doesn't seem to be a problem based on your preference for a dedicated park ski

As a proud owner of Halos (the same ski as the A1 with different graphics, flex, and base) I have to recommend that Alpha.

I met some people skiing them and they had nothing but good things to say. Everyone loves the park rocker and never wants to go back to a traditionally cambered ski again. Whether it's the easier butters, lower swing weight, or just different feel, I can see park rocker getting more and more common.

I have to agree that this year's graphics are awesome, and I am tempted to buy a pair at the end of the season. Go with the Alphas. I think you'll love them. And if you don't I'll buy em off you ;)

Alphas. Because you said faster and lighter. The race base and the tapered tips with the AR50 construction will do you well. I have AR7s and sometimes which i bought alphas
