Armada AR7 Mounting Point (YES I USED THE SEARCH BAR)

After some searching, I'm pretty sure I'm going to mount my AR7's at -1.5cm from center.

I'm 5'8", 145lbs and will be using them 70% park and 30% all mountain

Since I can't make up my mind about anything, can some people just chime in and let me know where you mounted yours, if any of you mounted at -1 or 1.5, or if you have any regrets/opinions?

Sounds about right as a good combo of park and all mnt. I had some thalls and mounted them -2.5 and they were good all mnt (for a soft ski anyway) but I did not like the feel in the park. But that was because I am used to center mount skis in the park. They skied ok all mnt centered but not as well as further back. So what are you used too?

Thanks. I rode Line Blends (171cm) all of last season as an all mountain ski (50/50 am/park). I can't remember exactly, but I think they were mounted at -1.5 or -2?

Now that I think about it, I may just go -1 for the AR7's (171cm) since I intend to use them in the park more. That's what this guy did:

He's also got them set up with FKS's (which I have as well) so maybe I'll just totally copy him.

I've got JJ's (185cm) at the recommended "team mount", Blends (171cm) set up for all mountain, and so I think AR7's (171cm) at -1 would make for a solid quiver.

Yeah that sounds like a good option. If you are not used to centered ski it does not make sense to mount an asymetric ski center. Try them -1 an you can always remount back if you want. Beware though the fks have a small heel pattern which can sometimes cut down the remount potential so totally decide where you want them first. Demoing is an awsome way to find mount point if you have the chance. You can move demo bindings forwards an back to determin the best mount point for you.

Yeah -- worth mentioning as well that I rode a friend's center-mounted A-bangs for 5 or 6 days in the park last season and I definitely preferred the center-mount for pure park riding.

If the AR7's were symmetrical I'd just do a center-mount, but I'm buying them as a 70/30 park/am ski.

I'll see what I can do demo-wise, but moral of the story I bet either a -1 or -1.5 would suit my purposes well. I'll probably just pick one and go for it.

i say mount them center or -1.0 or -0.5 from center cause imo mounting them center does not affect all mountain that much (correct me if im wrong) and if you are hitting little side booters and stuff it will be much nicer cause it makes swing weight better and feels better on rails also so ya

Personally I'd go recommended unless others as you imply say -1.5 skis better. A good amount of it is in your head. If I let a friend borrow my skis and told them they were center when actually -3 back they'd say "wow, I love center mounted skis, great swing weight" and so on. I typically do recommended so I can utilize the sidecut, unless the mounting point is old school conservative -7 or more. I can say that I haven't really felt a swing weight or balance issue when we are talking about a 2 cm difference- aka the size of a penny.

Search bar? Shit, why didn't I think of that?

I just assumed that if I slammed my forehead into the spacebar enough times my skis would end up mounted at the right spot.

Alright, here they are mounted at -1.5 from MEASURED center. Seems like a solid position, and I can't imagine I'd want to go any further forward.

Just posting this so others can see what this mount looks like.
