Armada AR6s or Line Anthems?

Hi. im looking to get some new skis this year as well as get into park a bit more. I looked at the AR6s and they seemed awesome, just what i was looking for. But the Line Anthems seem like an awesome park ski.

I want skis that are good in park but can go out and do some groomers. powder and stuff isnt really a big part of skiing here on the east coast.

So given my desired style of riding do you think i should get the AR6s or the Lines?

Thanks

yea the anthems are gunna be hella soft and buttery and the Ar6s are going to still be soft but stiff enough to hold its own outside the park.

I have a brand new ar5/ar6 176 if you need em just let me know. Otherwise I am waiting for other ns'ers auctions to end on ebay for the same ski before I list them.

Hmm ive only skied on stiffer skis. the Lines seem like they could be fun. or is it better if i just get the AR6

I'd go with the Anthems...they have the carbon and symmetric flex and stance, so riding switch will be alot more natural, and they are lighter...AR6's are a fairly heavy ski.

ar6 would be a good ski, but dude....the anthems would be one fun fucking ski to ride. i got to hold some in my hand, it was amazing. cant even imagine how much fun theyd be out on the slopes

ar6 have an allmountin/park cut and shape. while the anthems have a pure park cut i dont htink the anthems would do to well any were besides the groomed park

Obviously you haven't skied them.. (probably either one).. so why fill this thread with false info?

Anthems kill it. Groomers. Park. Trees. Small amounts of pow. Obviously he isn't skiing them on steeps or deep stuff.. so thats irrelavant.

ya no it seems like everyone likes the Anthem so i thnk im going with that.

too bad i dont like the graphics on the lines :O

the anthems were one of my fav skis for this year. But i ski armadas all the time and love them. if this is what your deciding between you've got it made. The anthems are just softer.

It may have been said, but:

The anthem is symetrical, wider, softer, and more park specific.

The Ar6 is a traditional sidecut, narrower, stiffer, and more all mtn specific.

You are looking at two skis at the opposite of the spectrum from one another.

You really wont regret getting either ski, but i think youd have ALOT more fun on the anthem. If you get the ar6 i can see you thinking about how the anthems would have been.

if you are going to center mount them then go with the anthems. i have mine at center, they are super fun, and if you mount the ar6s at center it'll screw with the sidecut design and stuff. i love my anthems.

I love my ar6's.  I have them center mounted and they are perfect.  I ride 99.999999% park pretty much except for when I'm making my way down to the park or taking warm up runs, and they hold their own flying down groomers too.  I've had invaders and Ar6's and I LOVE my armadas.  They are not to stiff either, I can butter no prob.  However all I can say is I love my ar's but I have never ridden Anthems

ANthems would be dope switch, and really great for rails and stable on landings b/c they are so wide. Also they would have good swing weight because they're symmetrical. the ar6s are a great ski too, and maybe better all mountain-a little stiffer I think the ANthems have better graphics, but that isn't too big a deal.

I wouldnt say that. They are by far the lightest ski I have owned, out of some 158 Scratch Pros, 174 Sprayer Fs's, and some 176 Scratch Sprayer BC's(rode for a week), and my Ar6's are a 176. They are super light, and i even have fks 120's mounted on them.

I rode the AR5s 176s with the girl on them from a couple years ago, and they felt heavy as crap compared to the Liberty's I was riding....isn't the AR6 pretty comparable weight wise with the AR5
Oh, and the 176s were also heavier than my 188 JP vs. Julien's...

my ar6's are fairly light. not the lightest ski ive owned but its def on the light side.

question: so do the anthems even ski powder well? like im considering getting them, but im not sure if there a PURE park ski. like i know there 93 waist and symetrical and all that but how do they handel allmountain and pow pow. whats there flex compared to the ar6?

the anthem is a much more playful slower speed ski (hey go jib that log) as to were the ar6 is still playful but is more of a race ya to the park over the rolllers ski

i agree w/ you...those ar5's are a little heavy but they really really lightened them up for the ar6 years..
