Armada AR6 Mounting

I just picked up a pair of last years AR6s and I just want to know where to mount them. These skis will be riding 100% park, the only thing outside of the park will be getting to the park.

go center, if you area going to go to -1.5 why not go all the way? ^They are meant for recommended, so mounting anywhere else is basically not meant to be.

shits, another AR6 mounting thread!!??

every time, a bunch of people say -2 or so, and a bunch of people say center, and it turns into another stupid pointless center or not thread. I dug this up, old email that gave some of Armadas team PC and AR6 mounting positions(these are people who have tested, not a bunch of NSers who like where ever they mounted, like me loving -2). I had a few more peoples numbers for AR6s, all of which were -2 or -2.5 so I deleted the email. from the one I kept(PCs but the AR6 mounts were about the same, nobody went past -1.5 and I don't remember if anybody went past -2)- "Tanner mounts his at -1.5cm of center, Taylor Seaton at -2cm, and JP at -3".

I say go center, the kid I quoted said they are not meant for center. I said that the only place a ski is meant to be mounted at is recommended so if you are going to go -1.5 why not all the way because you are already mounting where it is not recommended.

the thing i hate about armada park skis is that they put the recommended way back but yet every member of their team centers them. they should change the ski design for more center friendly

I put mine a true center and they were awesome for 100% park, but it's all about personal preference. If your doing all park then I would recommend center.

well im in beaver creek right now so i can go to beaver creek sports and ask dano for his opinion, tanners personal tech, CLAIM

or not. Non of the big names center them. it's always -1.5 to -2.5 even for people who only care about park performance and do ski switch.

talked to dano today, and he recommended 1.5 back. thats what t hall, casabon, and taylor seaton ride he said

ok well i think his personal technician would know, because they obviously have to test their whole line, regardless of what they prefer to ride

spec from Armada

ski length is measured as the distance from tip to tail - For true center you take a tape measure, run it from tip to tail and divid by half, that is the true center point.

2008-2009 AR6

recommend the following:

-2.5 cm for park (first line)

-5cm for all-mtn (second line)

And As mentioned above ...Dano his tech etc...THall, yeah I understand that with a lot of switch and park they mount -1.5. The PC is 1 mm narrower(has race base) than the AR6 so it is similar to the AR6. THall ski is a different flex....center mount may be too severe for any skiing on snow.

i mounted mine dead center and they ride perfect, kinda harsh on carving sharp turns but i likem

Has anyone noticed that the recommended lines aren't actually -5cm and

-2.5cm from the true center of the ski? Maybe mine are mis-marked but i

doubt it. The front line (-2.5) is actually about 5cm back from true

center on my 176s, and the factory line (-5) is actually about 7.5cm

back.

Mine are brand new and I've been debating how far back from center to

mount. have read all the threads about ar6s and I was thinking 1.5-2

cm back from true center but now that I measured the skis and realized

that the lines are misleading I dont really know what to do.

Who can spit their knowledge to me?

What a waste of time, there are 1000 threads identical to this and all of them have the pros mounting preferences in them.
