Armada AR6/7 or Alpha 2s

OK i know there are a lot of threads coming up about what skis to get and such but i want to know to wait or now. I am certain on armada i just dont know to get the Ar6 now while they are cheap or save for the Ar7/THalls i am also curious about the alpha 1/2s with the rocker and how they are in park.

I ski East Coast and i ski basicly 95% park 5% everywhere else. Im 14 expert outside park and intermediate inside park i weigh 140 im 5'10' ( and will still deff keep growing ) i ski about 70-80% rails and 20-30% jumps

So i want a durable poppy ski (thats y im stuck with armada) that performs awesome in park

i got the alphas a few weeks ago for cheap and love them. they really kill it outside the park but are amazing inside too. they dont even feel that different from other skis but you just dont catch on jumps/rails. i dont know how armada did it, but its fucking sweet.

no, the alphas still have camber, the rocker is just like huge tips and tails.

I really want alpha 2s when my thrusters die, which will be soon

it actually does reduce the pop, as you normally pop off your tails which now have more angle to cover due to the rocker, making it harder to get that pop off of them like you would with a traditional camber ski. also the 5 dimension side-cut skis a bit weird from what ive heard. AR7s are supposed to be stiffer which is a relief to most people who like jumping, AR6 and THalls are both pretty soft all the way through, with the thalls having flex points for buttering and pressing easier.

OK so im either going with this years Ar6 or this years Alpha 2 in either a 176 or 181

so i need help choosing cause i cant decide

replacing the ar6, tho i dont really see the point if its not going to be stiffer. email them about it, if its the same flex go with the AR6.

alpha 2. I have had ar6 and dont compare. It doesnt take much to get used to the short sidecut and they are good for all mountain too. You might not get as much pop but i didnt find it an issue.

think im going with this years AR6 from wat im hearing it sounds the same as next years AR7 pretty much and and i want a center mount poppy ski like the Ar6

I just need to know the size 176 or 181 remember i ski east coast park only am 5'11" 14 yrs of age and will keep growing every1 in my fam is atleast 6'4" or higher

I have the AR6's and could not b more happy w/ them. they r rly poppy and fun. My friend has the Alpha 1's. They look good. mebe a bit stiff though. The good thing bout the alphas are that they r rockered though. but personally I like the AR6's btr. I think you should get them in 181. you wnt your freestyle skis to b abit taller than you deff not shorter. If you are light though and dnt weigh as much you can always get a size thats a bit 2 small and use it as n allmountain ski. but i dnt recomend it.Good luck

ok after asking, AR7s are stiffer and are a tad wider. so like 89 in a 181 ski. stiffness is due to the blended sidewall, which is part cap.

ok thanks good info but im still not sure about the 1/2 sidewall 1/2 cap

im very very hard on my skis as prob every1 on here is too but im just not sure being on the east cost on a very icy mountain(although its gotten better)

so i think ill go with this years ar6 at 181 thanks to every 1 and +k

yeah, im unsure as well, tho when done right cap can be just as durable, good example would be the old heads
