Some people are saying the Ar5 is good in powder but is that really possible?the ar5 176 dimensions are 111-80-101 i think its sucks for powder??are they good carving skis on groomers?

thanks

"the ar5 176 dimensions are 111-80-101 i think its sucks for powder??" i don't think that a question.

As for skiing power there okay, but their not made to be a backcountry ski

What, you think any 80mm ski is going to suck in pow? Give me a break... that used to be considered fat. They're fine.

still is considered fat by a lot of people... even Rossignol says they're B2's from last year were good for 50% Off-Piste and those were only 78mm in the waist.

Actually they were 76mm, this years' are 78. 182 B2s are skiied by a lot of people all mountain out west. So that should tell you something.

it depends on your weight, but i have both AR5s and ARVs and im dissapointed that there isn't that much of a diference, both are great for all mountain

The ar5s arent really that stiff this year. Gain a little weight if you think they are stiff. I could flex them like crazy, they are kinda soft for me.

Your weight and ski length has a lot to do with floatiness. Waist width is not the only thing.

Don't get caught up in the numbers.

I think it depends on how deep is the pow. if its like 2 or 3 inches deep you dont need prophets to ride that

I had last years that were 114-80-111 (barly different) and they were wonderful in pow.
