who owns a pair??? i just ordered some and i wanna know from someone who has extended knowledge of them what i should expect. i know what they're all about, i'm talking about the little things like how they perform in conditions other than big steep and deep.

I have last years and they are bomb proof and absolute tanks. super stiff and when you get them on big open bowl there is no stopping them. The new ones are softer in the tip, i guess it helps with turning. I dunno, they were perfect last year. No matter what dude, if you are a great skier and can are looking for a fat ski to handle agressive big mountain riding, you picked the best ski out there.

They're some super sweet skis, but if you're going to use them in Ohio I think you will obliterate your entire state. That, and your top to bottom run time will be about .0002 seconds.

i'm really pumped. i was between the ant and the jj. i'm 5'11" and i weigh 175. i am an expert skier and i ski relaly hard. i think i made the right choice going with the ant. tell me if you think otherwise, i work at a shop and can easily change my order.

I wouldn't change it, that's about the best big mountain twin you can buy right now. The only other ski that's really comparable would be the 190 Gotama, but those are softer and have more sidecut....the ANT is the way to go.

I'm 6'1" 180 and I dug the hell out of the ANTs like everyone said, they're stiff and fast as hell, but they also have the most life of any big mountain twin I've skied which makes them a blast to load up in pow and ollie off cliffs with. And you never have to worry about them not being able to handle what you throw at them, just stay on your feet and hold on, cuz they rip.

ok ok so they came in to my shop today, and i pretty much had sex with them twice in the back room.

anyway, i'll be mounting 916's on them, any suggestions on where i should mount them? there's no suggested mounting point, so it's basically a free for all. i don't wanna screw up and have to remount them so if you have them and like where yours are mounted, lemme know where you put them. thanks.

Yeah I just got some JP vs Juliens and it looks like there's no mounting line, but I see a tinny arrow, is that the recommended mounting point?

-7cm from center is $$. thats where mine are, the tips dont dive, and they still ski switch well. definitely look at the tgr forums tho, thats what i did before i mounted mine

yeah i set mine up at -9 or 10. You can still ski switch in pow with them, its a little ougher. if you are 175 i might suggest mounting them at -5 or -6. your tips arent going to drop in the snow at all, and it will make it a little easier for anything switch. Anthony himself rides at -5 for big mountain and -2 for tricks.

^never mind what i said for anthonys binding mounts. he rides -5 for back country freestyle and -6.5 for big mountain charging. he recommended i mount mine -7, but thats was because of my size and weight. i would just mount them at the recommended -6.5.

^ This guy has no clue.

ANTs are stiff enough that regardless of your weight, if you mount too far forward, the tips will dive. My suggestion to anyone skiing these is -9 for all mtn and maybe -7 if you plan to spin alot or take them in the park. However, I've skied them at -7 and if it's deep, it's a chore to keep the tips up.

hmmmm i'm probably going to be using them for alot of bc jumping as well as all charging lines. i'm leaning towards the -7....

^that's what I'm at with mine, there's a ton of tail, but since the ski is so long there's even more nose, and like they said in the TGR forum, the ski doesn't float that well, but it's made to be skied at a speed where float isn't an issue. So -7 is a good spot, you'll also find that although they're light, a 191 ski has alot of swingweight so if you plan on spinning at all with them, -7 is about as far back as you're going to want to go.

I have no fucking clue?

Those mounting points are straight from anthonys mouth. I dont know about you, but the guy who designed his own promodel probably has a "clue" about where the best mounting points are.

Get off your fucking high horse vicious, just because your quiver is a dozen skis deep, doesnt make you the be all end all of this forum.

i'm gonna measure out the center and put them at +3. i want more tail than tip. i don't even know how to ski switch. these ant's are gonna be the best park ski i've ever ridden.

Dooooooo iitttttttt. If you do, I'll center mount my mojos and LP's because then THEY'LL BE SO GOOD FOR PARK!
