Armada 08 ar6

My Armada T-Halls from 2007 chipped horribly, but Armada replaced them with last years Ar6's. They held up fine, very few chips, but alas, the way that Armada makes thier skis makes them more susceptable to chipping. Remember that this does not affect the skis preformance, one thing that Armada has been able to achieve in thier skis VERY well.

I'd say go for it, they are a solid ski, but more all mountian orrientated. The T-Halls are a more park specific model, but the Ar6's do just great in the park too!

I skied 5 days on my 08 AR6s. Theres some chipping on the sides, but other than that they held up great.

negative ghostrider..

chipping is cosmetic damage.. most sandwich contructed skis chip easily...

Anyone who has skied the AR6 can tell you that this is one of the best park skis out there, chipping happens, but it's the riders own doing, a capped sidewall won't chip as much but it's not as good of a construction in my opinion

no, it doesn't... and I swear the next person who brings there skis into me for warranty because of there topsheet chipping around the edges, I am going to go loco..

you'd think that Armada would catch on and change how they contstruct their skis so there's less chipping. I bet if they changed their construction to be more like salomon's they would have less complaints and less waranties, and probably higher quality skis

I don't mean to sound like a dick to u, previous poster, but obviously Armada has heard once or twice that the Ar6's chip.

1. They give mad warranties and shit just cuz the pic on the ski isn't as pretty as it used to be (which is nice of them).

2. It does nothing to affect the ski. It's a small cosmetic price to pay for high performance elsewhere. Mine have chipped a bit and

3. They ski better then any damn salomon I've ridden that u say doesn't chip.

4. Salomon's park skis next year are actually gonna be sidewall I think no?

Sorry dude, but let's ask how NEXT year's are gonna be. I don't think the ski is very diff but I heard it's construction is a tad.

From people who've skied on both next year's and the past 2 years', is there any difference in quality and feel?

haha don't worry about it. but i agree with you now that i think about it. Next year salomon is using sidewall construction and i have no experience riding armadas so may say doesn't really count. i guess i have always been leery to use a ski with sidewall construction because of the kids who start threads on cracked and chipped armadas. I think armada is super core company, way more down to earth than salomon, but i was saying that if skis are chipping, i'd think that armada would want to fix the problem for next years skis as they are always trying to improve their product (every company should right?) but maybe armada likes the construction just they way it is. my bad
