I'll be in Phoenix, AZ for bachelor party in March and am having a hard time narrowing down all the hiking opportunities. Hoping to hear some recommendations/favorites from people who have traveled or lived there.

Thanks!

Hiking in phoenix is ass. If you actually care about hiking in a nice area drive up to flagstaff. Hiking is infinitely better there, not a desert

We'll be driving anywhere 2-3hrs from Phoenix so our options are outside the city

Timely post. I got a wedding in a couple weeks near Phoenix. Is the hiking really that bad if you've never been there? Me, I'd wanna do something sick but the people traveling with me are probably not down for more than a couple hour trek.

There are hiking options near phoenix, its just that all of them are flat trails in the desert. If you drive west to Sedona, then you get beautiful, scenic desert. If you drive north to Flagstaff, you get hilly, forested trails. Driving to Grand Canyon is a bit of a commitment but it’s the most scenic of them all.
