What the heck is wrong with parents these days? i coach the

developmental race team out at my local hill, when im not digging in the park.i work with the young kids.

the 5-8 year olds. i have 14 kids in my group and only one kid does not

have a cell phone. what the heck is wrong with parents these days. there is no

reason a five year old kid should have a cell phone.

one girl in my group today, told me that she would die if she had to go

one day with out text messaging. she is six. at six years old you

shouldnt even know what a text message is...

some days i jut hate america.

hah that is foolish, parents are protective and its just one more way to keep tabs on their kids and feel secure. i do see where you are comin from tho, i didnt get a celly till i was 17 and im 18 now. its fucked cuz theres like kids under ten with doper phones than me

The thing that really pisses me off is when parents put their kids on leashes. On and off the mtn.

i coach for my race team too. i have 7 year olds and not all of them have cell phones but a few do. one girl took hers out and started texting on the chair. so ridiculous.

yea no shit. i didnt get my first phone till i was 18. im 21 one now and have had three and only cause one prematurely shit a brick on me.

last saturday we went in for a warm up break cause it was cold out and one of my seven year olds whipped out her i phone. wtf 7 and she has an iphone.

wow...i didn't get a cell until i was 14 and that was only because my parents never had any idea where i was. i can't imagine anybody under the age of 12 ever needing a cell.

I dunno I learned 16 years ago and wasn't on a leash.

I got my first cell at maybe 14 or 15, but to be honest I wouldn't even carry one if I had the choice. I hate cell phones. I crush/drown/loose mine about every 6 months and always go back in and buy the cheapest one available. I only have one because it pisses off my parents when I don't and I need one for work.

when i was 7, my mom would just set me loose on the mtn. and say dont get hurt or molested. i got a phone in like 5th grade just because id walk downtown after school and the phone made her more comfortable.
