And with the rest of the quiver:

That is a sick quiver. I want to ski some ARGs, they look soo dope for pow pow. Where is the mounting for them?

Mounting is about 87 from the tail. The lines are a tiny bit off, so I measured from the tail to be super sure, and I went back a tiny bit, so 86.5 from the tail. Works out to be -6 from centre.

And yes they are 916s. Also, the 105mm solly break bent over to fit 133mm no problem. Those things bend like butter.

is it just me or does it look like they get narrower at the tips and wider at the waist? or is that just my vision fucking with me.

sick setup nonetheless

125 at the tips, 135 just in front of the toe piece, 133 in the waist, 134 just behind the heelpiece, and 120 at the tail, so yes.

no doubt...i picked up arv's last year and didn't ski anything narrower than 95 all year. My kingswood fats just came in and i can't wait to get those bitches out...

you betcha.

Also, the ARGs are retard-o light. 16.5 pounds with 916s. Basically the same as my JP vs Juliens. And they are stiffer than ANTs, which is awesome.

So dope - i got to see some last night

Have you noticed that the ARG graphics are completely left/right reversible? I don't think i have ever seen that before.

Acutally, it is rocker, because there is a flat spot in the middle.

Reverse camber = something like a Spat where the entire ski is cambered in reverse.

Rocker = rockered tips and tails (or just tips) with a flat (zero cambered) spot in underfoot.

I still love you Seanpistola!

Actually they aren't really reversible. If you look closely, there is some sort of winged horse thingy that is on both of the skis, and if they aren't left/right like I have them lined up, they don't exactly match. It is pretty close though.

And the other bindings are 900s 9-16s on the JP vs Julien and 912tis on the Pistols.

The ones I have flexed are much softer than ANTs, did you mean stiffer than your JPs? Cuz they aren't nearly as stiff as Ants.

Stiffer than ANT's 4 sure, I don't understand why the Pontoon is so soft, when it is rockered it is already in a flexed position, so you would'nt want it to be soft.

Yeah I flexed them right with a brand new pair of ANTs sitting in my shop and they were stiffer. I'd say somewhere around Explosiv or 184 B-Squad stiff.

rocker doesn't have to have a flat spot, wakeboards have rocker, there are continuous rocker wakeboards which have no flatspots and three stage rocker wakeboards which do have flat spots

ah, this be where you're incorrect sir. Spatulas proved to be one of the most versatile soft snow ski for those of us who like them. The torpedo nose goes right through crud. As long as you're not on hard pack they're awesome. The newer designs (ARG) have taken some of the groomer 'fun' out of spats so they ought to be pretty good for most days after a recent storm.

Part of me is hoping the my spat with the cracked core blows up this year so I have an excuse for the advancements. I am jealous.

Very nice. You should be stoked. If you get the chance, give us a review after skiing them on a big pow day. Would love to know how they are.

They retail for 1000 canadian.

And yeah, I plan on writing a review, although I would like to hold off until I have a chance to ride some other unconventional skis. I'm hoping to swap with a couple other people who might have some lotuses (either 120s or 138s), spats, EHPs, new Big Daddies, or Pontoons, then I'd be able to write a more accurate review.

sooo jealous, saw a pair at my shop today and they are so beautiful, only downside is they are $799 and im a poor college kid without a job :(

hope you have a great time rippin em up, if you are ever in oregon and need a second opinion on how they ride, just shoot me a pm!
