Arena Group Holdings accepted the resignation of Manoj Bhargava as interim chief executive officer in a move to avoid conflicts of interest.

The media company, whose brands include Sports Illustrated , NEWSCHOOLERS, and TheStreet, said it accepted Bhargava's resignation on Thursday, the same day it engaged business advisory firm FTI Consulting to assist with the company's turnaround plans, according to a regulatory filing.

Jason Frankl, a senior managing director of FTI, was appointed Arena's chief business transformation officer in conjunction with the engagement between Arena and FTI.

Bhargava took over as interim CEO in early December after the company terminated the employment of then CEO Ross Levinsohn.

The executive shakeup comes days after the New York Post reported Arena was the target of a buyout from former Arena CEO James Heckman and crypto investor Brock Pierce.

The company stock is tanking, consulting email to FTI, sent.

in all my years, i have not seen a stock (arena group) go from $11 per share to $0.75 and plummeting in one year...

First of all I never would have guessed NS was owned by a publically traded company but second of all there's no way they just shut down the site if Areana goes under... right?

NS has passed hands through many corporations, it's one of the best margins in the portfolio, digital only and a small staff. Someone will buy up the brands from arena if they go under.
 
I wonder how hard it would be for NS users to buy back NS. It would be pretty sweet to run this place as a non-profit. User owned and operated…sounda pretty sweet

Thats how Matt Harvey , the creator of Newschoolers intended the site to be...

Others got involved for profit reasons, and legit, destroyed a site that was intended to be for the freestyle skiing community, to communicate, cooperate, and grow.

the idea of someone creating this site for free, and it was stolen by people who dont even freestyle ski, so they could run and control the site for profit, and culting....

it honestly , makes me sick.

I dont have the original edits....i would lose them all, with the loss of this site.

i know you all hate me, i dont know why im asking.... but if theres a way to download them, even with the NS logo owning them... that would be legit.

Take eheath out for dinner at a very nice restaurant (think red lobster endless shrimp) and he will do it for you.
