not too fond of mccain, but definitely not fond of obama. Washington state will alight with obama no doubt, but ill still probably vote mccain.

er but ya, pretty legit point -- We've all been told that we've got to do well in high school so we can get into a good college, and then do well in college so that we can get a good job

As voters we are looking at the resumes of the candidates so we can hire them. I mean if you could fill out a resume, which one would you prefer to be yours?

clearly if you have filled out a resume then you would know there is a lot more than where your rank in your class and the college you attended on there

McCain has a lot more extra curricular activities

Do a little more research than googleing where they went to college

(-Naval academy is extremely hard to get into yet alone graduate

and 3 presidents have graduated from military academies. how many from Columbia?)

The fact that you're trying to discuss this at some intellectual capacity would seem to, at the very least, imply that you posses some knowledge. Thats not to say you're the most informed person on any given subject, you have already conceded that.

Take into consideration that if you can have such a discussion, and that you're an 'average' person, the term 'idiot' seems to be a stretch. Think about it, if you can do it, logically many others could as well.

So then, what exactly is an 'idiot'?

Republicans get elected, Liberals think the worlds going to end. Democrats get elected and conservatives shit themselves and start digging bomb shelters.

As hard as it is to accept it, it could just be that leaders do an alright job most of the time, democrat or republican. No matter who is the figurehead of the nation, the hardworking machine of government seems to carry on without much radical change. To summarize, both sides really need to cut back on the attacks and extremist viewpoints. They dont lure voters, they polarize and divide this country.

seriously now. if the "american dream is dead" then why are there single moms, people from africa, people from Venezuela, people from ALL over the world in my college classes? they're obviously just wasting their time.
 
^lol Massachusetts is already a nanny-state. Our governor sucks all sorts of balls, he's an obama henchman. Like obama, he promised "Change We Can Believe In" and said shit like "Together We Can." Well, guess what, he has taxed the ever-living SHIT out of the state and continues to sink Massachusetts to new lows.
