Are you to Pussy to do a Backflip on a tramp?

good idea man. the way i got over it was with a spotter, so that if you dont make it, their there to spin you around.

works awesome, sooo much easier to commit.

props to SMS/momentum for that way long ago!

broke my nose with my knee, hurt my neck, flew off the tramp a bunch of times learning backs. Good post

i learned to backflip on skis before tramp. oh wait. im still scared and cant do them on tramps. i always land on the bars or stupid shit. no problem doing them on skis though

If you have this look on trying new stuff then you wont become even a reasonable skier. you gotta have guts and just try out new tricks!

I just learned a sideflip, then lincoln loop then just put more and more underflip rotation in to it untill it felt natural to be upside down flipping 'the wrong way' after being comfertable with the frontflip motion for so long. then just sacked up and flipped.

i can do anyother flip, misties, fronts flats... np, backies took a little more work, cuz i was still scared of not getting the rotation like when i flopped on the cliff. now they feel super natural and i cant imagine being too scared to do them.

I fell and fucked my neck pretty bad the first time i tried but after a year i decided i had to do it and i just kept on trying until i got it :D /(this was many years ago)If oyu want to learn it without having to set up all this rope shits or dont have it just get two friends to hold you when you jump and push you around and do it a little less every time and then you will get it. worked with my ex-girlfriend and she is a pussy.

I think its great that there are people on NS who try to help others. Plus this guide seems to work pretty good and I like the idea behind it. I am one of those who needed a lot of time do try and land a backflip.

10/10 karma for the guide!

I guess this is all helpful information....however, I'd suggest that anyone who is too afraid to just huck a tramp backflip should take up another sport.
What are diving boards for anyway?

I love training on tramps but I feel if I do it to much Im just gonna get hurt, I always either travel in the air or when I land I bounce and go flying off the tramp. Backflips are kinda scary though on a tramp, i almost find they are easier on skis since you can travel in the air and dont have to worry about coming straight back down.

thing is when i first learned them, i just hucked a bunch of them and finally got them, but i was so freaked out from the flop, probably more than anyone ever could be. im just stoked i got them back!

exactly, that was an ignorant comment, you can slay at park and never do an invert. im sorry that i live in MD and the chances of me building a bc kicker and hucking some are not even existent. soory for the rant, but that was ignorant.

this sounds pretty legit.

i didnt try backflips anywhere for a while after eating shit on one in a Cas snozome. then the other day i just got stoked on all the weird corks and bios i'd landed on the tramp that i just thought fuck it, and threw one and landed, its really easy once you get over the mental block.

i think that for people that are havin trouble gettin over the fear of doin a back flip this is a super good post!i will say that one of the best ways to get it done is just to say fuck it and do it...but this is great, sounds super legit

i used to be too scared but one day i just said fuck it and bounced high and tossed my head back and grabbed my knees, i landed it fine and have been able to do them ever since
although one time i did a backflip and landed super hard...turns out i jumped right off the edge of the trampoline (no net)

dude you dont need a trampoline. backflips are like one of the easyest flips to do. u can do them off picknick tables and be fine. buck up

too pussy ta fuckin backflip on a trampoline? Try walkin through tha streets of Inglewood an tell me wha's fuckin scary.

hey thanks for the tips

ever since i backflipped off the tramp, i never got my nerve back

i'll try some of that out for sure

i learned rodeo 7's first then my friend said dont spin and just look back and no joke landed one first try.

Nice dude but what bout a doubleback? I tried one on my tramp with a friend helping me get a good counterbounce and i did exactly 1 1/2 and landed striaght on my head. Got it on video though. Pretty sick. Do you think that the ropes would work for that to?

i dont, because you would get the ropes coiled around your hands. also to jump high, the ropes have to be lose, resulting in little or no support.

i just spent like and hour getting the motion and then i just did it without much of a bounce on a tramp. Now two of my friends can do them on the ground. might try one on ground soon.

Yea, that's totally what I meant....
Or, that you're a huge pussy with zero athletic talent and that you should look into another sport. By your auto-defensive response, I'm going to assume that you're one of the aforementioned no talent pussies.

Are you an idiot too? We're talking trampoline backflips here...not on snow. If you're going to throw your idiotic two cents into the fray, at least read what you're all worked up over.
I'd say that if you're too afraid to attempt a backflip on a trampoline, you're too afraid to do pretty much anything that would constitute an uber extreme skiing high risk maneuver.

i have the same problem and since my friend's tramp has a net, my feet always get caught and it sucks.

i can do a backflip and i dont know what your problem is because i bet you over 80% of newschoolers cant do a backflip, yet we are all on this "extreme skiing high risk maneuver" forum. have you ever heard anything called learning. if you are so good, then what satisfaction do you get out of putting down other NSers who are learning. half the kids on this site are still learning 3s. Out of 95 posts in this thread you are the first truly negative poster, which is sad considering i was trying to help out other NSers who arent PRO like you. So fuck off and go post in some other thread of some kid "learning" a 3. Jesus.

mostly you want to make sure that you don't start the flip too early or else you'll travel backwards. a long time ago i did this and my shins came down on the bar that the springs are connected to when i was coming around with the flip. most painful moment of my life

I tried a double back into foam on skates, started flipping to early, hit my head on the lip of the ramp, hit so hard i did a frontflip before i hit the foam. i was knocked out and got a bad concussion. and i did have a helmet on

this is a really sick idea but you could just open up your torso lean back and stomp it first or second try

like is said before, i dont think so, because you would get the ropes coiled around your hands. also to jump high, the ropes have to be lose, resulting in little or no support.
