Who is in this category, cause it’s basically me.

I can ski chutes, drop cliffs, ski pow, trees , rip bumps at mach1 , pillows are my fav, rocks , fast grass, smash 3s and 5s in the park, butter, manual you guys get the picture, can’t get within 5 feet of a rail without falling.

However, I don’t know how to ski. Period. I don’t know where to put pressure, when to do it, when to release a tail or pressure a nose, I don’t know when to use my downhill ski, up hill ski or if that’s a thing, no one ever taught me, I learned on my own and have always just pushed to be better every time, I do still literally practice the things I do, instead of just doing them, but I don’t “know how “ to ski, it’s basically instinct

anyone else in this group?

Minus all those things you can do, yes. I know nobody in or outside of skiing that can ski better than me, myself, and I.

I’ve said it before no one ground spins like you

No, I definitely know skiers better than me.

But I get pretty hyped on my *style* so I'm not thinking about them.

I'm thinking "Wheee! I'm the best skier on the mountain!"

Don't be thinking what you know to be true. Style over skills.

Being the best skier in your group of friends is totally different from being the best skier on the mountain. Sounds like you need to branch out and start skiing with more people. There is always someone better, and 90% of the time they’re someone you’ve never heard of that just kinda lays low.

Not me! I am the best skier wherever I go, always! Maybe the best in the entire world!

Unfortunately I've been kinda crew-less for quite a few seasons now, really have only skied with a couple people on a semi consistent basis. I'd like to say we are all on a similar level, some are better in certain areas than others. Def not in my prime anymore, but still hold it down.

I'm not skiing in the park that much anymore, trying to get my all mountain jibbing on now that I ski Jay Peak. And I'm getting a tele set up going, and am fresh into touring so it feels good to be the novice at something. Keeps things interesting.
