Are you republican or democrat

hahah im familar with libertarianism, and its one of those things that sounds cool on paper, but once you put it into affect with human beings and modern tech, then the whole world turns to shit. ex: communism, national socialism

fiscally conservative, socially liberal - but im a 'crat fo sho'

word. soon as i clicked on it i expected 90% to be dem. pleasantly surprised to say the least

Republican, demos these days are turning to far left. *cough cough near red* they are just plain retarded. Conservative all the way

I hate to break it to all of these people who are saying "Democrat" or "Republican", but unless you are paying dues to either party you are NOT affiliated with them.

not 18 yet, so i'm not a registered republican, but i am extremely conservative. as are both of my parents. i really dislike obama, and his health care plan is utter shit.

Not 18 but you feel informed enough to make a choice.....

wtf_is_this_shit.jpg

well what if he's 17, 16, 15, etc? at what age is it acceptable to start forming opinions on politics? certainly not 18, by that age you're already obligated to start voting, one would think you'd have some prior knowledge of what political opinion you associate yourself with long beforehand. not "i'm not 18 yet, i don't have to care about politics, so i won't."

To say though that the House and Senate health care bill is "utter shit" though.... I mean, I don't like the idea of it but it DOES have good things in it. And as everyone knows, I am not a fan of Obama.

i believe that by a certain age, everyone should have some knowledge of politics and the world around them. that age should consist sometime between the teenage years, but people should still be aware before that. at this age some people may be completely opinionated, some still deciding. either way, it does matter, for the 8 year old kid, and the 75 year old grandmother. it effects everyone, and the more involved/aware people are, the better. who's to say my opinion won't change in the next few years? but if i were registering now, i would be a republican.

moderately liberal

fiscally conservative, for the most part, but also socially liberal. I don't like the influence of the federal government, but sometimes I feel it's an evil necessity in our society.

I'm only 14 but I educate myself about the issues around me and I find myself to be a bright kid. The health care reform has so many holes including the fact that it wouldn't have even been debateable because the democrat from Louisiana wouldn't sign until her country got fucking 100 million dollars because it is recovering from a natural disaster. Our government is corrupt with Obama and if you challenge me on that statement I will explain my reasoning but I'm too lazy to if no one cares.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Democracy simply doesn't work. Anybody who can honestly say that their values are adequately represented by any one political party have most likely been brainwashed into having those values

That is far from meaning democracy does not work. Liberal democracies represent nearly all the power of the world right now and have made millions upon millions of people's lives very comfortable and stable. Of course no single person is going to always agree with a party, it is about compromise though.

I'm not really sure what you are even trying to say here though, you prefer an authoritarian government? Communist? Theocratic? State of Nature?

WHAT?

does not compute, does not compute, does not compute. haha

libertarian = less government.

if youre anti capitalist, who owns the property, etc. because surely the government cannot if you are a libertarian.

help a brother out. haha

mainly moderate, maybe a little left, but then again im young so who knows how long that'll last.

.............? I have no idea why you find this confusing.
Capitalism is a HUGE vehicle for natural human greed, giving atrocities like theft, murder, arson, and the destruction of our environment more momentum than it needs.Capitalism is a key component in our current, overly invasive government. We count on and enforce its existence so as to ensure a steady tax base. I think that capitalism should be dissolved, and the government should leave trade up to the people. Government should really only keep us safe from murder, rape, and the like. Ideally, I would like to see a society where all of the good points in anarchy (Personal freedom, self-sufficiency, strong sense of community) can meet with all the strong points in government (Security)
Sorry if that doesnt make much sense. Politics is something I ponder very infrequently because I care so little about it.

I have some conservative views and would say im a republican but the republican party is a joke and i dont give a fuck about moral values, and not to mention i hate the majority of the republican party and its news agency. Therefore i am a democrat.

Conservative ideals (NOT the conservative party of canada though)
I would say I am a republican but I would have voted for obama or kerry

yeah that sounds just great.

however, i wouldnt really count on an overabundance of anything. food as well. I also wouldnt expect ANY of our modern conveniences, tools, etc.

you would be hoping that barrel of berries lasts you, and a squirrel runs past your door.

basically the world would not have much of what it does today. if you lived such an isolated lifestyle.

free market capitalism?

i do agree with some of what you were saying about capitalism being the engine driving its demise into socialism / communism / ultra restrictive control. because at the end of the day its capitalism that is producing, and the government consumes.

ideally capitalism (working for ones self interest) would be the counter weight to the government. however today you have more and more big business's getting in bed with government seeking a free lunch. the problem is when businesses see the destruction of their competitors by the hand of government.

/rambling. haha
