Are you man enough to shave your legs?

So winter is nearing which means long socks and ski boots. So today i decided to get rid of future discomfort and busted out the razor. My legs are now as smooth as a silk pillow, and i personally believe it's the best feeling in the world. Granted, i am a biker and I have been doing it for a couple years now, but for those who haven't ever tamed your leg yeti, i suggest you try it sometime soon. Prove to people your masculine enough you don't need to prove yourself through leg hair.

Thoughts?

i have super hairy legs like hairiest in the world and this summer i kept gettin ripped on my friends about it so i shaved one leg and then reallized it was a bad idea because my razor would clog up every stroke but it felt nice after

I shave my legs twice a year for swimming purposes, which, in my opinion, is the only legit reason for a man to shave his legs.

you'll only realize it once you do it.. and if you don't like it, it takes 1 month to grow back. it's like 'enlightenment'

hahaha i was kidding man, i hate that leg hair getting caught in the boots and socks. but idk about the shit i would get at school for the noobs that dont know what skiing is. I hate being a skiing outcast.

i want to call you a homo, but you have legit reasons for it id imagine it would be sweet but not worth the harrasment that would soon follow

i approve of shaving legs if you are a biker and actually do infact scrape up your legs so much that it hurts to peel scabs with hair, but skiing? no reason to

I did it a couple of weeks ago cause i am in ski boots every day of the season minus the odd day off. after the first time its on auto trim

actually if you're like a serious biker than shaving your legs is a good idea because then if you fall and slide you aren't ripping out a bunch of hair on the road

no. but i have a friend who shaves his, because he's a pro road biker and his legs are less likely to get fucked when he falls if he has smooth legs haha.

yup, people think its for speed or something, but leg hair doesnt slow you down more then a few fractions, its so scabs arent bad and etc

When I had surgery on my knee they shaved pretty much half of my leg so I shaved the rest and the other one to match.

When you have hair for a while, then you shave, it is the weirdest feeling when you put on pants/shorts or get into bed. You feel numb but covered in goo at the same time, hard to explain.

ive done it before, both for cycling and skiing. its not a big deal. some boots and socks rub more than others, and my current boots havent really been an issue, so i havent done it in like 2 years. but really, if your so homophobic that the thought of shaving your legs weirds you out, youve got bigger problems than sore shins.

I've never even considered doing it because its never been an issue for me...

But i love rocking the patch of hairless area on my shins from skiboots.

i know tons of guys who shave for swimming and that's totally ok..they get hassled for it by nonswimmers in the summer, but during pants season nobody can tell...i'd say its not wierd unless you do it for a specific purpose (like athletics)

I ran an experiment a few years ago to see if leg hair really did make a difference. As one who had never shaved their legs before, but suffered from nasty cases of ski socks getting caught, folding over in the boot, etc, I believed I was the perfect candidate for a test study.
I left my right leg as a control. The left leg took about a full 30 minutes to completely shave, just due to the thickness of the hair. One inch of movement on a normal razor clogged it. I later switched to my electric, and cleaned up and got it close with the mach 3.
The results were disappointing. Earing pants felt very strange. Hair is a mighty good insulator, and without the protective coat, your legs get much more exposure to sensations of touch, most notably from pant legs and gusts of wind that make it up the cuff of your pant leg. Wholey strange and uncomfortable at first.
In actual skiing, changes between the test leg and the control were minimal. The ski socks still bunched and folded, causing uncomfortableness. After some observations, I believe that hair may in fact promote ski sock immobility, as a shaved leg is a slick surface.
To complete the test I shaved my other leg and trimmed the shag on the test leg. It was an awkward week having both legs shaved. It felt like having a secret you wanted to explain but was fully unexplainable to any normal person. I knew I would be rejected by my peers if I disclosed the silkiness beneath my denim. Thankfully, no permanent damage has been done, and leg hair is growing thickly and evenly on both legs.

shit.

I'm just shaving i little strip around the top part of my leg before my boots take care of it. Without doing that I end up with having a season of pain, and most of the hair is gone by the end anyway.

Obviously for ski boots, you only need the lower part of your leg shaved, but I mean a half-shaven leg would look weird, right?
