Are you kidding me?

"Why are you such a fashion plate?

Maybe it runs in the family."

Yes, I am sure that most of NS is just dying to figure out who their ancestors are.

Haha, I've been seeing this one a lot recently. I love so many features of this fine advertisement. Like the fact that theres a silhouette of a dude popping his collar. And that hes so cool he drives a lime green Vdub beetle.

the ards arnt that big of a deal, if NS'ers is making money off of it whats the buig deal, its coorporate america, get over it

Thats not a stupid idea at all and we should do it for sure. You should get something like that up on here so we can promote advertising on NS to local shops and reps. I would do it. I have another idea too... I dont know how good it is though. You make a "dealers" page on the site where local shops pay a certain amount of $ for having their information posted on NS where skiiers can search it. They could have their location and what they sell on there, along with pics and stuff if they want. I don't know if it would work but it would be a great way for local shops to help out NS, and for NS to help out local shops at the same time.

i have ski ads again!!!

- Hakuba - Ski in Nagano

- Fischer

- 2007 Buyers guide

- Ski Italy & the Dolomites

- Tools 4 Boards

- Heliskiing in Alaska

- Off-Piste Ski Courses

I don't believe I have seen a ski add on this site in the past few times I have been logged on. I have to say that I really don't like the adds. I understand the need for money but these same generic adds that come with so many sites suck. They really suck to see on NS.

Get yourself Firefox and NoScript, it blocks the ad sites so you see an adless NS (aside from "Sponsors" on the right-side bar of the site). NS gets money for having the ad there, you don't see the ad, everybody wins.

I've got adblock for firefox. It took a few days to cycle through all of the ads but most of them are blocked now.

I tried to use AdBlock and every time I refreshed the page or came back to it later the same ads would be up. I'm not sure if they slightly change the URL or what, but it didn't work out. Maybe if you spent a LOT of time blocking all the addresses but... it annoyed the hell out of me. That's why NoScript is the way to go, it just blanket bans everything from particular sites.

haha yeah right now I'm being offered the chance to win a trip to Hawaii from FunSun vacations. I say the guys who have dedicated their lives to this site deserve every buck they can get, and all the better if it goes towards helping them travel and do sick event coverage like US Open this year. But I do have to agree with skodeo that it cheapens the look of the site, and I also would like to see ad space continue to be affordable to small ski brands like EC and Liberty.

Hmm, weird. I basically had to do nothing after I installed it, I just let it do its thing and pretty quickly there wasn't any more ads. Did you use it for Safari or Firefox?
