I'm a freemason. not a greek fraternity, but still the largest and oldest fraternity in the world. so i guess technically i'm in a frat.
 
Wanted to go with RSC (Rotterdame student corps) but My parents didnt want me to. My girlFriend is an RVSV'er (ROTTERDAMS woman student society) that being said, i like the frat life although i personally not direct in it
 
How does a frat/sorority have anything to do with Greek life at all?

The only relationship are the Latin names and the occasional bro'd out toga party, which isn't even Greek since togas are Roman.
 
Man i remember when i was you thinking the same thing. Actually, the frat i'm in has won chapter of excellence 3 years in a row and does more volunteer work in a week than you have in your life fuck boy.

I'm a freshman at the University of Kentucky so with it being an SEC school greek life basically rules all here. I'm an idiot and didn't rush this past week but I'll be rushing in the spring. Probably going Delta Epsilon
 
But if I went to Boulder, U of U, UW, or a lot of schools out west there would be absolutely no chance of me rushing. Isn't great life at Boulder like 8-10%?
 
I really don't agree with the "your buying friends", but you can't argue they are not dushy. The only reason i would want to join is a lot of hot girls do go (depending on the frat) there to party. that being said way to not look dushy.
 
nothing says outstanding community member like calling out people for not doing enough volunteering without knowing who they are. you are definitely one of those people who volunteers places strictly for the purpose of telling everyone you know how much you volunteer.
 
Also gonna add onto this, frats can really help you with business connections later in life. As well as help you on tests in college.
 
do you think i don't know this ? No i volunteer because i WANT to. Although, it's also does look good on resumes. I volunteer the most for UCP and related because my cousin has CP. I also volunteered as a camp counselor dealing with kids with disabilities for 2 weeks. I'm a total douche, excuse me.
 
know one cares you volunteer, like at all despite what you think you may no. You're not going to get a job over someone because you're in a frat........

Meh... I know several people who through our alumni association got their foot in the door and recommendations from their alumni brothers. Were able to have them skip a couple interviews ahead and got the job. So yeah.. You just might
 
That's definitely not true. You could easily get a job over someone because of connections through a frat.

I wasn't talking about getting a job from connections in a frat. (and out of my 5 friends who are now done with college and in frats, that didn't happen with any of them.) I'm talking about the guy up there saying he volunteers then puts he was in a frat on his resume.
 
I'm sure it "helps" but if you're a fucktard it won't matter. Just because the hiring manager maybe was in the same frat as you doesn't automatically mean you're getting in... I think a lot of people assume that, join a frat and get fucked in the future.
 
No one gives a fuck about your frat and how you paddle fuck each other to make friends and have parties to think you are cool. No one gives a fuck about your so called community service which is no more than you and your homo bros hungover asses picking up garbage in a park.

Also, no one gives a fuck about any of your cars which you think are the best things ever and like to talk about non stop in all your other threads.
