Keynesian economics wasn't really effective even when FDR used it, unless you include the war effort as government spending, but I wouldn't. Sure the govt spent shitloads, but it wasnt simply a part of an economic plan.

keyenesian economics was used a lot after the depression with such things as the new deal. arthur burns, chairman of the fed before volkcer who preceded greenspan attempted to institute keynesian though but failed to raise interest rates high enought o fight inlfation, causing a recession in the 80's
