???are you bothered that skier's spend a great deal of time thinking about snowboarders and snowboarders, for the most part, don

seriously. i snowboard and listen to other snowboarders, they never speak about skiing, never. but here, on NS, you guys talk about snowboarding each and every day. may i ask why?

^true story, we do talk about their films and such. I don't know why...maybe it's because they're really good in terms of cinematography? I don't really contribute to those since I don't care. Snowboarders don't really talk about skiers for the most part (at least the ones I ski with) because they are just within their own division of snowsports and we are in ours. But we both carve on snow. It's not that different, and they respect us for the most part. If you hear a snowboarder talking shit on skiing for no reason that is worth calling out, but I haven't heard too much of that.

if i asked ten snowboarders what a blindside swup was, 9 out of 10 would respond by saying "no". the one left over would laugh.

now, if i asked 10 skiers what a switch backlip was, 9 out of 10 would say, "it's where the snowboarder goes off the lip switch with his back to the rail and brings the back edge of board over the rail first."  can you picture Travis Rice saying, "did you see Jon Olson's Kangeroo Flip, sick"? sorry, no way.  i guess i am saying, uz all a buch of jealous ass bitches. one last thing, i doubt any snowboarder has bought and watched the number one selling ski dvd "Seven Sunny Days", yet you guys buy and watch the least sold snowboard film "Cold World." thanks for skiing, keep it that way.

Because we are highly influenced by snowboarding. Snowboarders talk about skateboarding, its the same thing.

However, you're wrong if you think snowboarders never talk about skiing. I've met quite a few who talk about it from time to time.

i never talk about snowboarding really, i only talk about their movies cause theirs are alot better than ours and its kinda like watching a ski movie since both are pretty damn similar.

if there was a similar website to newschoolers for snowboarding, then they would def be talking about skiing sometimes on there, unless their in denial

I respect snowboarding, and am simply interested in knowing what my friends are describing. That's why I want to know about it.

kind of like, four wheeling and motorcross are the same...both are on dirt.  you guys don't get it. surfboard=board. skateboard=board. snowboard=board. skiing=different than board

uhhh yeah skiing is on boards too. skis and snowboards are extremely similar in construction, flex, how you ride them etc.

snowboarders don't talk about skiing for the same reason skiers don't talk about snowblading but snowbladers talk about skiing

well no i didnt know what that trick was until you explained it. its been my experience that snowboarders who rip on skiing are usually not very good at boarding, are insecure, and are trying to feel better about themselves. and good boarders tend to be stoked and not give a shit. i wonder which category you fall into...

the vegetables were talking about the fruit, but the fruit was too busy questioning the tomato if he was a vegetable or a fruit, so the tomato decided to be a fruit because they were cooler

they actually do. they are similar sports that take a lot from each other.

The real thing that bothers me is that you use and 's for plural, but that' besides the point.

f you asked 10 snowboarders what a blindside switch up was and 9 of

them replied 'no' and 1 just laughed i would tell you to quit riding with the special

needs kids you retard

i always thought that ski flick's cinematography was wayyyyyyyyyy far better than snowboardings.. thats just my opinion.. snowboarding movies have the skate movie feel.. skiings more artistic

and better!

skiiers go bigger!

I've heard so many snowboarders talk about how shit that goes down in the skiing world is really sick. Unfortunately skiing is quite unheard of compared to mainstream snowboarding so all they see are like tanner hall and the X-Games. The ones that actually watch Level 1, MSP etc. are usually pretty damn impressed.

snowboarders dont ever talk about skiers? right.

why are you on this site again? you want to talk snowboarding with....fellow snowboarders?

Actually, in a recent poll, most snowboarders said that they would rather ski, but are scared their crew might diss them. Also, many snowboarders come up to me and say "dude, sweet 2006-2007 179cm K2 Fujatives with Look PX12s," and when someone asked me if I knew what kind of snowboard he was riding, I just stared at him because I don't even know any snowboard companies. Another time, this snowboarder called drop, so I skied over his board and snaked him, because skiers are so much cooler. Based on that, I would say you are wrong.
