Are women’s skis THAT much different? As someone who tends to ride skis in the 170’s, there are a lot of good deals on skis marketed for women in that range. Do the slight supposed cut differences and such really change the skis that much? Anyone here ride women’s skis? I’m tempted to demo some this winter to see. Serious question. No homo.

Women's skis will inject estrogen straight into your body and if you ski on them for more than 10 days your dick will fall off

I'd assume they aren't as beefy/durable as a men's ski in the same size range, assuming that ski companies expect women to generally weigh less

this isn't an authoritative answer but as far as i'm aware, most women's skis will just be lighter and/or smaller and/or softer and/or easier to ski

and park skiers use some of the softest, easiest to use skis on the planet so i have a really hard time imagining that a not-huge dude would have too serious an issue on women's skis as long as you know what you're getting into

I'd say a theyre a little lighter and softer too.

Although I'm considering dude skis for my next skis whenever that day comes. Not that mine are too soft but more that On3p doesn't make the Jessie in the narrow width anymore it seems.

Depends on the brand making the ski. Some are exactly Te same other then graphic and some do change.

K2 for example have a good method for changing the core thickness to get comparable flexes throughout the size range. Often The shortest sizes will actually be the stiffest if you just shrink the mold which is usually the opposite of what you want. K2 change the thickness of the core as the ski shrinks to keep the skis consistent.

Changes like Ike this make a lot of sense I think as it often happens in reverse for the biggest sizes in men’s skis.

But usually if changes are being made it’s just to make the skis more suitable for Te size of rider so to answer the op’s question go for it. You will probably like them much more then a men’s ski which is too big for you.

Cheaper than transgender surgery, I imagine.

A lot of them are exactly the same as the mens versions, just a different topsheet. If they are different, it's almost always that they just remove a sheet of metal or use a slightly softer core. So no, they're not much different at all.

Funny enough, a few years ago rossi said that women's soul 7s came in 162cm and the mens came in 164cm, but if you actually measured the ski or put them together they were the exact same length. We men have delicate egos it seems
