Tensions heightening between Russia and Ukraine, USA and allies probably gonna step in if Russia makes a move.

What's the likelihood of an actual draft happening?

No, the military understands the quality of an all volunteer force. Simply adding bodies is not a true combat multiplier in the 21st century. A professional force is an effective force.

The draft is for sure going to happen. But good news for you, the US still does not draft women. Chop your dick off now and officially change to a woman and you’ll be saved.

Didn’t they replace “dont ask dont tell” with banning trans from military? Or at least not paying for gender reassignments, SJWs make it sound like they banned trans/gays but idk

yeah makes sense since we're doing guerrilla warfare nowadays and not trenches etc., too many people really doesn't help if they're not motivated or well trained.

Are soldiers ready to fight straight out of boot camp or do they have to do more training afterwards before they're ready to go to war?

It ain't 1980 bro we fight wars with bombs and drones, plenty of people volunteer at this point.

Doubt they're drafting anyone from this generation unless they plan on using them as human shields.

Basic Training (Boot camp) teaches you how to be in the military.

AIT (Advanced Individual Training) teaches you what you job is.

Your permanent duty station teaches you how to do your job for real.

Yeah man, we don't need boots on the ground anymore because we now have "over the horizon" capabilities to accidentally blow up children and aide workers. Gotta love technology!

Imagine if not having enough troops to keep our empire going would get us to scale things back.

Nah, let's just draft people.

Since xgames was just this last weekend. I remember years of "America's navy big air" "America's navy, a global force for good".

Our military propaganda train just forever keeps rolling in this country. Something something flags, patriotism, heartfelt country songs, freedom.....

All in all this buildup is total bullshit. Crimea voted overwhelmingly to be part of Russia because they are historically Russian and speak Russian. Russia needs Crimea because they only have 2 warm water ports for their Navy and Sevastopol is one of them. The Russians had treaties with Ukraine for years to share the port between the two but when the Ukraine CIA Coup or "Revolution" happened in 2014 the agreements got thrown out. If Ukraine joins NATO the agreement stipulates an attack on one country elicits a response on all the countries and Ukraine considers Crimea its land still. That is why Russia is pissed, especially since all this is literally 275 miles from Moscow. Now we face WWIII, at least Biden's crack head son got a cushy energy job out of it.

I swear Liberals have all become Neocons ever since Obama continued the Bush Doctrine of blatantly interventionist foreign policy while they just cheered.

Missed the part where the United States moved 70,000 troops to the Ukrainian border and are threatning to invade russia. People complain about the U.S. becoming socialist or communist and then immediately turn around a play defense for russia. If I was next to hungry hungry post soviet empire I'd probably want to join up with nato too.

Do you think Russia gaining more power is a good thing? Do you like china then too?

I swear Helikopter, helikopter

Para kofer, para kofer

Helikopter, helikopter

Šaljem ako treba

Para kofer, para kofer

Da bacaš sa neba

Helikopter, helikopter

Kolko treba zlata

Samo da od doma otvoriš mi vrata?

Majko moja, kakva je

Stvorena je za mene

Majko moja, vidi je

Vrh ljepote, takva je

Ne postoji blago to

A ni cijena ta

Na koju ne pristajem

Da je imam ja

Helikopter, helikopter

Šaljem ako treba

Para kofer, para kofer

Da bacaš sa neba

Helikopter, helikopter

Kolko treba zlata

Samo da od doma otvoriš mi vrata?

Kao da je dragi Bog

Baš za sebe stvorio

Moje oko nikad ljepšu

Od nje nije vidjelo

Ne postoji blago to

A ni cijena ta

Na koju ne pristajem

Da je imam ja

Helikopter, helikopter

Šaljem ako treba

Ok, so you are cool watching our countrymen die for some bullcrap happening halfway around the world that does not concern us? Ukraine and Russian relations were going along just fine until Obama and Biden got their dirty little fingers into the country and overthrew their government in 2014. If Russia overthrew Northern Mexico and installed a puppet government then Putin flew out there and bragged about influencing their policies then set his son up with a cushy job in an energy company you know damn well we would have a shit ton of troops on the border.

Biden created this mess in the first place and now we are on the brink of WWIII because of our insane interventionist policies. Like how he turned Libya from the richest country in Africa to a hellhole of rape and terrorism or when we armed the 'moderate rebels' with 500 million in weapons to overthrow Assad in a proxy war with Russia and they all sold the guns to ISIS to shoot at our troops in Iraq.

How is this for Democracy- Crimea held a referendum in 2014 asking if the people there wanted to be part of Russia or Ukraine and they voted 97% to be part of Russia with an 89% voter turnout.

Russia is a shitty corrupt country for sure but you cant go around with a sledge hammer and screw over the delicate balance of geopolitics in a region without eventually ending up in a horrible blowback situation where people have to die. Russia has only two warm weather ports for their Navy- Sevastopol in Crimea and Tartus in Syria. First we tried to overthrow Assad which would have taken out one port then we overthew Ukraine and tried to take out the other port. Of course they are going to be pissed as shit over this.

hahahaha you wasted so much time writing this out.

Next to 0 percent chance average joes get drafted. A war with Russia will start with a long air war which won't involve draftees and there is a very small chance any sort of long term occupation of Russia happens because that would be really difficult.

Uh, Mr 4chan, Biden has already committed to not fighting this with our own military and pretty much everyone else is on that same page

USA/Europe have been insanely non-combative about it so far but you're so far down the rabbit hole you've managed to actually believe that 1) it's ww3 and 2) it's not the fault of the aggressor here. Fuckin bizarre dude

But also we kinda got some issues stateside so im gonna let the volunteers go do their thing and if you guys need help, then hollar.

1. I have never been to 4Chan.

2. Conflicts like these can quickly escalate. Not WW3 but certainly the possibility of US troops eventually.

3. My main point is Biden was the one that created this mess in the first place.

He certainly continued it with Obama. Bush was the one to initiated it with the War on Terror which should have been limited strike and special ops hits to take out Osama and Al Queda but instead we got full scale invasions of Iraq which had nothing to do with 911 and Afghanistan that turned into a 20 quagmire. Obama/Biden continued the policy with drone strikes and regime changes in Libya, and Ukraine and a Russian proxy war in Syria.

So far nobody has been able to refute any of my points and I am surprised how enthusiastic for more intervention many here are after what we saw in Afghanistan. We spent the last 20 years watching over 7,000 young people die overseas for wars with no real goal or explanation in a continued cycle of violence. I dont want to see another 20 years of that. Will we see an actual 3rd world war? No. But when you have murky proxy wars things can go sideways with US troops and advisers in the same conflict zone as Russian troops.

I don't know man

id hope we would riot if a draft was implemented. like fuck that, no one should be forced to go to war, its hell on earth.

that said, if we did declare war with Russia for invading Ukraine, it would be one of very few justified wars we have involved ourselves in in US history. Also could be the end of the world with the nuclear threat... hopefully we're fucking smart enough not to ever go to nuclear war, but then why the fuck do we need to keep an arsenal of nuclear weapons... (maybe just to say don't try us idk)

Look, imma be real. It’s 2022, we’re all about equality now, Congress is even proposing a bill to require women to sign up for the draft, which is great- but not really enough tbh.

In fact men have had to fight every other war in our history, which is totally not very cash money or equal. So I propose that this time around we let the women handle this one. I’ll stay home to raise kids and work in a factory while YA’LL go get blown up for a war you don’t believe in.

in fact I think every country involved should do this, a chick fight on a global scale. Fuck an actual war, we can let our countries women hash this one out for us cause I’m staying at home this time around, idc.
