Are top sheets suppose to crack?

I've personally never owned a pair that have top sheets that crack. These are 06-07 Scratch BC WRS. I've tried to epoxy that crap already. The crack does go deeper than just a superficial layer. I think those affected portions will eventually fall off. Maybe a warranty? seems like factory error, because I don't know what I could have done to cause that to happen.

hmm my ar6s have a crack like that that is like 4-5 inches straight down the tip, is that actually bad?

my friends scratch sprayer bc (07) are much, much worse. Hes been riding them like that for about 3 weeks. I think its juts cosmetic until the topsheet falls off.

it's a stress crack caused by your ski tips slapping down on the snow. right now it's fine, but it's the first step to delamenation, which is bad. I say you can ski with it for now, but if it starts to delam, try for a warrenty

DUDE! the EXACT same thing is on my scratch bc's! and on the same ski(yellow one). i rode them for 3 days in the park and after hitting a bunch of rather large jumps, i notised the EXACT(i repeat) same crack on the tip of my skis.

wow, i really thought im the only one with that.... lemme know if u go to teh shop with them or email rossi and how it turns out

^ HA! Must be the yellow ski then...I'll trade you for your white one. Any other thoughts? Would it be possible to warrenty them now? Seems like its the start of a problem, so why not take care of it sooner.

yeah id send em back in especiallly if other ppl have been having the issue rossi should be more then willing to replace .

Both my rossi FS and rossi Wrs fs have that EXACT same thing. Both of them are superficial and the tip only so i never bothered with warenty.

oh and ive been riding the FS for two years and the WRS for two weeks......but it never became delam so i havent bothered with warentee.

my red and yellow rossis (with the chick on them)...had that same crack...and i just blew it off...

and yes as this guy said...it was the first step...they delamed hard core.

This is not really a warrentyable problem, and seems to occur in many cap construction skis and Rossis for some reason. The cracks don't really do anything, but if you start delaming hardcore then you should warrenty.

my bud broke the tip off a WRS. but y would you warrenty them now? theres still skiing. deal with it, when the seasons over take um in and send um back when they are actually screwed up.
