Are the new Karmas worth the extra two hundred?

im looking at karma 169s and have a probable deal to get the 07s for 480 bucks i can also get last years for much cheaper and am wondering what is the best choice?
 
My vote goes for last years. The top sheet material coupled with the graphics keep them "looking" new almost regardless of how much you beat them up.

Supposedly they didn't change anything other than graphics from last season to this season, so unless the new graphics are worth $200 to you...
 
i think last years are just as good as this years in terms of a great, durable all-mountain ski, and i like last years graphics more too, so get last years
 
get last years. they didnt change the ski at all except for the top sheet. and in my opinion the graphics were way sicker last year. and the top sheet is indestructable.
 
they didnt change much, only thing i am aware of is that they made them ever so slightly softer than last seasons. (still by no means what so ever a soft ski)

i like this years graphics much better, and i paid almost 2x what you will be paying for this years if u get them.(the new ones) so if i were you i would get this years. new seasons skis are p.i.m.p.
 
if u have the money to drop an extra 200 on graphics go for it, or u get last years and get another jacket or some dank goggles, and whoever said dont get volkls up there...obviously ur into having to buy a new set of skis every year cuz u arent rocking volkls
 
I got last year's because I like last year's graphics more and the top sheet made thm really unique. This year's are cool, but kinda generic.
 
This year's are slightly stiffer. It seems like most people on this site are afraid of moderately stiff skis, so I'd suggest the 05-06 model.
 
where might i be able to find last years karmas? i'm not sure if i'm looking for the 169 or 177. i'm 5' 10" and 120lb -super skinny. I'm thinking the 177's so i could get hopefully 2 years out of them.
 
I more meant the topsheet...I actually like the graphic itself. Volkl definitely has the best looking skis...even their non-freestyle skis like the AC3 look decent.
 
Dude the new karmas were amazing. My Buddy just got the 169s and he rode them with me yesterday for the first time. The seem like such a sick all mountain ski. They carve like a mother fucker.
