Are the line chronic blends and the prophet 90s the same ski

No, the Chronics (I think) are a bit softer, have a proper twintip, and the carbon matrix instead of the metal matrix.

the 90 has the titanium which makes it stiffer for more big mountain while the blend is more park and soft for buttering and other.

its like how next years prophet 130 is equivilent to next years ep pro..they are practically the same dimensions but the 130 is for sending it down a chute and off cliffs while the ep is for jibbing in the backcountry..if you get my point

feel free to call me out on this, but doesnt 'true twin' mean dimensionally the same front and back.

cos the chrons are equal tail height fr and back, but the back is nearly a cm narrower, same with the blends.

am i wrong

True twin means the tail is the same height as the tip, it has nothing to do with width. Dynastar doesn't make a true twin, on the TM's the tip is much higher than the tail.

fair enough.

so out of curiosity, what would we call it when the ski is symetrical dimensionally front and back - ie, u could mount it backwards if you felt the urge.

Oh, by the way: as said above, the Blend has a carbon matrix rather than metal, but also the core wood is softer and lighter.

with that being said, should i get prophet 80's or 90's for my all mountain ski even though i will only use the 90's width for something deeper about once a year if that?

my dads friend skied the 90 prophets at some demo day and hes just a normal "big moutnain" skier and he loves them
