Are the Line Afterbangs Going to be Too Heavy/Long For Me??

Im 5'8 and around 120lbs. In the last year I bought Line Blends (08 model??) size 165, found out they were too long for quick spins/park.. So i thought I would go a LOT smaller, so I tried the Line Invader JRs , size 145cm , after half a day in the park my legs hurt from hitting all of the jumps and the landings are not soft at all (i ski in NY and its not the best snow) . Decided to give the jrs to my brother, take my bindings from my skis (Marker M11.0 Frees) and mount them on another pair. I did some research and found the afterbangs, size 155cm (smallest they go) liked the look, construction, etc. But when I actually lifted them, they felt a little on the heavy side? Maybe Im coming from 145s but because of the layering or somethin, they fealt heavier. Im 80% park so i dont rlly care about powder/allmountain, etc. just park..spins, rails, etc. Would these skis be too heavy or long for spins/jumps?

You'll be fine, in fact you could easily ride 166s, hell I'm 5'8" 155lbs and I ride 177s. You have to remember, it's not the total weight of the ski that affects your spinning, it's the swing weight, and Afterbangs have very low swing weight do to their even balance, symmetry, and aerodynamics. I would recommend going with the bigger size (at least 166) so that you'll have an easier time landing jumps.

i already have 165s and they were a pain because I felt like I was always tripping over them and I think smaller skis are actually easier to control and move around.. Maybe its becaue I dont weigh much ... anyways i bought the 155s already, im just checking here to see if I made a good decision.

Ok, I guess it's personal preference, but you'll be fine with the 155s, you'll just have to make sure you land underfoot every time off of medium to large jumps or you'll wash out, but other than that you'll have a good time.

you definently should have gone with 166 afterbangs, thats what i have and im the same height as you.....just like an extra 15 pounds heavier tho. i think shorter skiis look a bit ridiculous on kids when there way taller than the skiis........just saying
