My first pair of twin-tips were the Salomon 720s (the first year they came out, half blue/half white, and I have been riding them for the past 3 seasons. They're pretty much indestructable. I've been doing tons of rails on them and some pretty big jumps and they hold up well. The only downside to them is that the tails are quite high enough to land switch in powder. But otherwise, I would recommend them.

REMEMBER: It's 10% equipment, and 90% rider.

are they good all mountain, east coast?

I would just buy the 1080's, the 720's seem like a waste to me. Unless you're small.

just telling my opinion. I really dont think that they are worth it. Buy some used 1080's for the same price.

I prefere the 1080s to the 720s. Why not just save a little more and get the better ski?

the older 720's w/ the black base and red swirls are one of the best skis that's been under me. i heard the new models haven't really progressed at all. i would definately prefer the 720s over the 1080s.

Sometimes it just takes lots of practice and the will to beat your face in, get back up, and do it again is what it's all about.....

i have last year's 720s and there's nothin wrong with them. the twintip is a little low, but other than that its a great ski. it carvs better than any twin i've ever skied, plus its cheaper than the 1080. it has 72 mm under the foot which maks it a fine ski for pow. i'm not that good at skiing park, but it suits me well. a fantastic all mountain ski too.

The 720 is an ok ski, They carve alright, and they aren't to soft like others think, I found them to be stable even cruising at 60 k, They are't to bad.
