Are sw cork 5s the same on snow as tramp?

a week ago my friend tried a cork 5, and he was was fine. he has never done one on a tramp and he hadn’t tried any backflips or any other spins that help with progressing corks

Yeah my point was he should have def learned other tricks like 3’s 5’s and backflips before trying cuz that was not even close.

Only prerequisite for sw cork 5 is sw 5 and i can do it

I’d definitely have backflips down and underflips as well as switch 5’s before trying that. I had mistys before I started doing switch cork 5’s as well.

I refuse to ever backflip, on bag I can cork 9, rodeo 5,7, misty 5,7 and flat spin yet haven't back flip

Not even remotely similar honestly, they’re not super hard but definitely not anything like on the tramp

Damn, not even the set? Wonder how this is gonna go

Yeah I was pretty surprised when I first tried them, the biggest thing is that on a tramp you just bounce and flip, but when setting switch tricks you need to focus on your edges and pop at the right time otherwise you’ll eat shit

i told him the same thing, he can backflip just fine on tramp, and his 3’s are ok on snow but he cant on-axis 5 yet

I made that mistake learning switch tricks. I've got the pop dialed now

I learned sw tricks on the tramp imagining how my edges would feel and the two felt pretty much identical except grabbing the ski feels a little different than foot.

I disagree. It felt the exact same as the tramp for me. The only thing different is you need to watch your edges and dont throw it too early or else you might catch on the take off. The set is pretty much the same otherwise and it will come around

Hmm, I guess it depends how you do it. Alot of the videos look different but let's hope you're right

Not being able to backflip is fine, refusing to do ever backflip seems pretty stupid honestly. What a strange line to draw in life

I can do em on tramp I just strongly dislike them.

Its the same as the tramp. It feels better than reg sw 5 imo. I'd say get comfortable on your jump warming up forward, then mix in a sw 1 jus tto get your speed dialed switch and then go toss it on the next go. If your comfortable grabbing safety its right there and will help keep you together. Have fun stomping it.
