Are Surface Skis coming back??

haha my first pair of park skis were 2010/2011 Surface Next Times. So many memories of trying to learn 360s and shit. I'd love to see this company comeback. I read somewhere that the guys running Surface were taking a break from selling skis for a bit so this is good news

I think I saw an Instagram post about someone at surface designing top sheets. so stay hopeful I guess. would be nice if they made a comeback.

their instagram is full of skis with different top sheets never seen before. Im almost positive they are coming back.

In one of their IG posts, it says the name of an artist that looks like did most or the whole line of graphics for 17-18 so id assume they got something cooking

They are definitely back. From their facebook page on 10/28/17:

“Winter ‘17-18 website is live...drop in at www.surfaceskis.com and check out subtle hand-painted graphic elements from Southern California based artist, Brad Walters.

Pray for Snow!”

Looks like they updated the store and have a new check out system.

Just a quick update. I emailed them like 10 minutes ago and received a response right away. I am looking at the All Mountain blanks myself so I asked about the construction:

-Sintered Die Cut Bases

-Poly/ABS Sidewalls

-Maple Poplar Cores

They also noted the following quote:

"next year we will be wholesaling/reatiling more, and only have a few models in the "blanks" lineup."

Sounds like they are indeed making the strides in the right direction.

Mountain Blanks.

With some brand new Fischer (Tyrolia) Attack 13s

rad man!! I always thought tyrolia was owned by Head, that's good to know it isn't... kinda supprised that a company that doesn't really make good park skis, makes pretty solid park bindings

Well Fischer just rebrands them from Tyrolia. Head Sales does actually own Tyrolia but they are part of a bigger holding company essentially. But many of the bindings for the smaller companies are made by Tyrolia.

Ohhh yeah that makes sense

Let us know how the skis perform, might be looking to get a pair eventually!!

Took them out to hill today. Gotta say I absolutely love them even though I was just on some man made white stuff. Due to the width I had to work them over but once I got the feeling down they were rippin the hill up. I will report back as I get them out more.
