Are skiiers religious?

i am a christian.

not the greatest, but then again, who is.

it truly does consume my life, but i still cuss like a sailor.

i am tired of trying to logically explain it though, i dont know why i believe, i just do, and cannot really escape it.

that being said i havent been going to church more than twice in the past year. i hate what the church has become... its too ritualistic and filled with egotistical money hungry people. its become a spectacle...

so i dont blame people for turning their backs on religion... it makes me reallly sad but i understand.
 
im cathloic and i think the dumont is christian because he makes the sign of the cross before he starts his run
 
i belive in a religion called skiisk... and when u die u go skiing on a never ending hill, wit' the sickest lines and the perfect snow... and i strongley believe in it.

so because you can;t comprehend it, it must be created by god?

we came from slime, and we are much more now. god did not create the slime either. it was made up of single cell organisms that evolved over millions of years in the water. god did nto create the water, it came from hydrogen and oxygen atoms that came togehter when our planet was forming.

what the hell, take the easy way out, no skin off my back.
 
hell no...I mean imagine you end up in hell and suffer for the rest of your endless being...if I die I wanna die quick and be gone my soul should be gone to rest somewhere maybe but neither do i wanna be in it nor do I want to know what the hell my soul is up to :P

alright, the atoms came from the original hydrogen atom that began our universe. that came from the wormhole that opened up from a another galaxy when their sun died. learn sting theory, it is fun!

and don;t be like that fukin kid from tiny toones that just keeps asking why. the universe is something we will not soon understand, it was not created, it just is (came from other universes that just are).
 
well, Im christian, baptist to be exact....and my resoning is simply that i dont know anything else to believe, i sure aint gonna think i came froma monkey that came froma rock
 
Whoa, I don't recall seeing something that said we evolved from rocks! I personally follow the word of a Maynard James Keenan, tool is my religion.
 
Can't say I didn't see this coming...everybody saying everybody's wrong in a thread about religion! Who could've predicted that?
 
yeah, religion wiull always have opposers, usually because they are rebels that hate rules......kinda like the PPP owning ns
 
That's kind of a broad assumption there, I think people can come up with better reasons to not follow religion than that.
 
i am very well versed in religion, and i think that its all bullshit. who do people think they are imposing their beliefs on everyone else? thats all religion is, its a big conformity party. i say fuck that. do your own thing if you want, or don't, it really doesn't matter.
 
I am not a religious person. My values are based of science and the progress of human life. Im also glad not having to waste my time in church.

The only place I like to go is on the ski hills.

I don't think it's our place to figure out why we're here, it's our role to just give 'er.
 
agreed! last week I took the train and I had to sit for five hours listening to some people talking on and on about Jesus, I thought I was gonna die!! wtf, why can't people stop imposing their shit on eveyone else. oh, and I'm not religious if there was any doubt. I don't mind that people are religious or anything, I have a bunch of friends who are, but I don't care for missionary works
 
^I don't believe that religion is trying to impose itself on you, it's just people that are trying to. I know what you mean though, if someone tried to convert me or something, I'd be super pissed.

Religion is the means to channel your spirituality, it's just up to you to decide which one fits you best, if any at all.
 
I believe in making the most of life, and am spiritual in that sense. But I definietely do not believe in any constructed religions or dieties. I do believe in a sort of god that is all of us. But thats about it. I believe in religion as a metaphor, not as a fact.
 
so the beginning of our universe came from a wormhole to another universe, thus explaining away God and completely annihilating anyone not agreeing with random chance appearance of all that it is we know! brilliant!

but how did that universe get here? hmmm.
 
the universe did not get here. it existed. it is the continuation of time through space, space through time, an everlasting occurance, and totally chaotic. it was not created, you are looking for the unmoved mover, there is no such being.

and to whomever said we came from rocks, in a way your are right, but your school did not teach you that.
 
well said...i could be wrong, but i think it is believed humans are thought to have come from the ground, i.e. dirt. it has been proposed that water is also a possibility, but there is no definative answer as far as i know. anyways, weel said above.
