Are skiiers religious?

I wanted to see how many skiiers consider themselves religious people and compare it to the population as a whole. Personally, I'd have to say I'm agnostic because I'm not going to presume to know what happens when I die, nor am i going to think about it anymore.

Alright, so post either that you're RELIGIOUS or NOT, and, if you want, a reason you feel the way you do.

Yea, I can tell already its going to be hard for alot of people to put themselves in one category or the other since its so much more complicated than that. I had trouble myself.

I'm not religious at all, but I do believe in higher powers. Not God or aliens or anything, but I believe that everything in nature has its own spirit, a life essence if you will, and if we go too far, or push anything too hard, Mother Nature is going to give us a little nudge and let us know that we're pushing things

I have faith and I consider myself to be spiritual. But I don't let religion consume my life. I've found that religion can be one of the most destructive forces on the earth. Religion that is overly organized in the worst. Crusades, Holocaust, and even violence going on over in the middle east right now. All of this is because of religon. No i have not been to church in well over 4 months, but I pray often. And try to live a good life.

i feel pretty similar. i think there is more of a force than a god. there is not white bearded dude up top directing things, but i think there is something that we are all connected to.

for exanple, my mom fucked up her arm & couldnt lift it for a few months. she went to the doc & there wasnt anythign really wrong with it. she went to a healer type guy... he never touched her shoulder, he just moved his hands around it, and bingo, she was better. theres defineatly something bigger than us out there.

Yea, i feel like theres something going on up there, but I hate how so many religions claim to know exactly what it is thats happening.

id say im religoius...my family is catholic and my parents usually go to church every weeked, i grew up going to sunday school and stuff, and i pray, but as someone said earlier i dont let it consume my life.

NAd he is fuckign annoying with it, what makes him think he is sooo special that god is saving his ass when he jumps off cliffs when little fucking innocent kids die in car accidents everyday. FUCK THAT SHIT.. Besides church on sunday or skiing... Fuck it im going skiing. if there is a god thats the surest place to find him, infact i think jesus rides for ARMADA.

i would be spiritual i guess but not to any particular religion. if im a nice guy and help people out then god or allah or buddha cant say go to hell or whatever. i guess im one of those humanitarians as long as i dont waste my life and do something productive i like to think i would have a place in heaven or nivana or wherever we go.

i definitely believe in something higher, and have been raised in the catholic church, but theres so many different possiblities ...

i'm really religious- presbyterian to be exact. i can't imagine not believing in christianity, i mean i see evidence that God exists ever single day

It's pretty much impossible for me not to thank God for every day I get to go skiing. Such a blessing.

I'd love to ski an epic powder day with Jesus and then go drink some good beer afterwards. And yes, I believe Jesus would have a beer and not make a big deal about people drinking alcohol.

i think there's some value in religous teachings, but religion itself is too hypocritical for me. so no im not religious

Hmm. I do think and hope that there is some kind of force or god or whatever out there, BUT I'm totally against all kinds of organized religions. The only purpose, it seems to me is is to kontroll people.

But...on the subject. I'm religious. On top of just the basic response, skiing is pretty spiritual for me.

I believe. I think the world is too beautiful, complex and downright amazing to have all happened by random chance and evolution. I am not dicounting revolution, but I definitly believe in God using evolution.

im not religious basicly because i just dont know which religion to believe i basciy\ly think there bull shit becuz one says one thing is right then the next says thats bad and there way is right, how do you know? and there is so much shit that is unexplainable that its impossible to know.

individually we are not special, we are not here for a purpose. let us live morally, taking lessons about kindness and charity from all religions. I am agnostic, i live my life for me impacting as little as possible on other people and the world itself. i don;t need to be told how to act, i was brought up to respect others. many religions are opressive to thier followers, that is garbage. i am quite spiritual, but religious i am not.

^^ is the evidence by chance circular? like god created the world, and i see the world everyday, so god must exist?

kuz if thats it, i'm sorry for your blindness.

Im not religious at all.

But if God ever existed, and made this planet, he sure was smart to make snow and mountains

No it is not circular. It is that the world is more complex then any of us can possible imagine. So that along with the Bible gives me faith. All you have to do is look out your window, now do you think all that stuff just appeared one day? Just magicaly appeared from nothing? No, obviously someone, that some one being God, created it.

meaning amino acids, immensely complicated little buggers they are, formed themselves, and formed cute little peptide bonds to form all matter we know today.

i am a born again christian, and i will share in that beer Bhayter10!

which still come from somewhere... see, we can go on forever saying where is the smallest part of matter in the world comes from, and what is THAT made up of.

The fact is, in all theories of ultimate origins, there is a part of the theory that necessitates an infinite, no beginning no end concept, be it mass and energy for the Big Bang theory, coupled with such concepts as gravity and magnetism, or a creating, infinite God in christian theory.

For me, a creating God makes more sense to me out of mass and energy, two concepts, reacting to form concrete matter and then this matter arranging itself blindly and by utter chance into what we know today. The fact that you see beauty in the world, is proof enough for me.
