Are silencers good...?

Ridiculous comments...did the first two years of the PE suck? No, they didn't and either does the silencer. It is the same dimensions but with a cap, so it is a tad softer. "Like paper on your feet." Sorry man, we don't produce skis like that. They might feel a bit soft if you are skiing a 220cm traditional GS ski, but I ski on them and think they work just fine. PK Hunder skis on them and he took second at the US Open, so something must be right with them.
 
my invaders are great their awesome in the park and handle better than i thought they would all mountain and i haven't had any durability issues after about 10 days of skiing on a lot of rocks

silencers are amazing, and they look sick.

best of all they're cheap - i have some.

they are not bad all mountain at all, if you mount them at the recommended point. my first twins, ive been skiing on carving skis and the silencers are comparable to them in all mt. pretty light and durable, i wouldnt get this ski if i was looking for something high performance... just got it because its cheap, looks good, good all mtn, and im a noob. i ollied on them the first time i ever skiied on them, ive never ollied before. easy on the landings too.
 
even though you are kidding, schmies doesn't say that stuff cause he just wants k2 to get money. he obviously stands behind these skis for a reason. they are way sick and so is schmies. id get the silencers over the invaders any day
 
In that price range get some used off newschoolers or get K2 fujatives. I love my fujas, people say they lose camber after 10 days but I've been on mine for like 12 and they are fine. I ski em park, once in pow and some all mtn. (switch mostly on all mtn.)
 
^uhh i was just at a shop checkin them out today, and they definately aren't anything close to a noodle, or a piece of paper. their flex actually felt pretty close to the pe, which is pretty damn stiff. i'd imagine them being a damn solid park ski.
 
i have silencers and they are awesome, for jumps i dont think ive ridden a better pair of skis. for rails they are ok, but mabye a little heavy for how skinny they are, and they are 179 so mabye a little long for some people that do alot of rails. that the only thing i dont like about them is that i have some trouble getting them around when spinning on, but i was riding stl's with salomon bindings last year and i dont know if it gets any lighter than that so mabye i just have to get used to it.

they have tons of pop, and they are awesome for carving off lips and really stable for landings. if i had to get an only jump ski these would be it, if i was getting an all around park ski id get something like tnk's, ar6's or something like that.

compared to fujatives i like them alot better, i just didnt like the overall feel of fuji's and they seemed kinda bulky and wierd in the air.
 
i've been on my silencers about 25 days now and i love them. they're a little stiffer than what i was used to (invaders last year, 1080's previously) but for hitting jumps, they blow my previous skis away because they are much more stable. i've had no problems with them on rails either. i can spin on, switch up, etc, with no problems. my only gripe is that they are a little harder to nollie with than my old skis, due to them being stiffer, but they are slowly breaking in, and are definately a bit softer than the first few days i was on them. for $300, there's not a better ski on the market right now.
 
Eh.. I did overstate.. but then again, I own some of the more stiff skis out there..

I skied on silencers for about 2 days. First day the conditions were a bit shotty on the ice and they did very marginally when it came to charging hard... the next day was a classic sierra cement kind of powder day (kinda..) and they were very rubbish there..

I dont know.. I just really disliked them..
 
yeah same..except on the side of my topsheet near the edge a big chunk got cut and it was gonna rip off a good portion (probably just from the edges hitting it) but i used some super super glue like rubber cement stuff and clamped it down and now its as good as new
 
i really like mine for about 50/50 park all mountain and or about 300 i couldnt be happier, i ski in NH and they are fine for groomers and great switch, they are also great for park and nice on jumps and rails
 
They arent much better than any other ski in the park either..

Last years invaders felt a lot better to me, so I would just reccomend a pair of those.. (just... get the new ones, I'm sure they would be a lot better considering the last ones totally fell apart... or had many cases of which..)
 
yeah. i got some, blown away. great ski. i like it way way more than the PE, (loved the old ones). like stated, fuckin amazing jump ski, loads up soo well. even thou they are priced low, its still a great preforming ski.
 
K2's are bomb proof. They are like the Toyota of skis. My friend has some and said he likes them, WAYYYYY more then his invaders.

they are dope

but id go invaders for sure...people hate cuz of what they read...so what my invaders all ready delammed but im still skiing them till they can no longer ride. Line lets u do this, and warrenty them for a new pair...but yet as im writing this i relize that K2 owns line now so everything up to now...isnt really all that important
 
Okay. Just got the Silencer, but where du i mounth them?

I ski like 70% park 30% all mountain. Last year i had the Fujis and mounted them core-center (7.5). Should i just do a repeat? I was thinking about dead-center but do anyone ever mounth them there?
