Are salomon spk's heavy.

post this in gear talk and you might get a response.

I have spk's and they don't seem too heavy, but I've never owned full tilts or any other freestyle boot to compare them with.

Yes they are heavier than a pair of plastic bindings but they dont affect your swing weight

yeah theyre pretty damn heavy, but if you could snag yourself a lighter pair of skis and bindings it wouldnt affect anything, great boot man, especially for people with massive calves and wider feet

They are pretty much on par with any other overlap boot. But wait. Get the ones next season. Massive improvement over what to be honest is a outdated boot.

New boot compared to th old shell. It's based off a new gen ghost last but features custom shell. This mean it will fit from a 98mm last up to 104 and wider. So it means now almost any foot can fit it. Currently th soft toe is gone (adding the soft toe to a bimolded shell is tricky. It keeps the rest of the padding features of the old though. Now had flex and slight forward lean's adjustment. Overall laterally much stiffer thanks to the lower clog so these boots really ski well but it's th fact it can fit a variety of fit which will no doubt be its biggest point.

Yeah man check them out when you can. they are a massive step up from the current popular park boots ie the old spk and full tilts.
