Are People Nice in New Zealand?

Haha may seem like an odd question, but I'm thinking about going there. So if anyone has anything to say about New Zealand or its people, pease doo

i just found out a family friend is going there for 2 years to finish her masters. i think shes nuts, but i guess shes been there before and says their just like normal people.

Met a very hot/cute/fun/novelly amusing because of cultural differences/awesome girl from NZ on the bus in Utah like 7 years ago and we really hit it off *wink wink*

From then on I will forever judge others from the country of New Zealand as rad.

BTW, one of the most awkward moments of my life, I was trying to talk to her and I had no idea how to pronounce "Wanaka", and of course I pronounce it "Waeh-naeh-kaeh" (just imagine some extreme retarded new england accent trying to say it). She still kicked it with me though, we did have a good laugh at my expense though.

Anyone actually been there? What's it like? Or just tell me more about the lovely little NewZealandites.
I LOVE EVERYONE

Oh you actually live there, shveeet. Can you tell me where the best areas are? I want to be someplace where theres nice countryside by the ocean, but also not too far from mountains to ski on. Sounds like home hahha. Oh, and I want to see some nice farms and stuff

I went to Australia for a month and everyone was super nice. New Zealand is only little bit away from there so I assume it is similar.

Either New Plymouth/Taranaki, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, or you could come to Wellington. Most amazing city ive ever lived in. South island has some rad spots too, not really beach wise but the skiing is superb down there.

My uncle ski instructed there for a year or two and said the people there were the nicest he had ever met and it was a really nice place to live.

yes. it is an amazing place. if you are an american, just say you are canadian. thats what i did. it makes everything easier.

Went to australia then new zealand last summer. Girls there were so fun, the guys too. Maybe it was the kids i was with but they were like upper mid class upper class and so they were more like American's I suppose at least acted like the kids i would hang with here. Down to blaze and party and get drunk and just do chill shit. Great place. Bag a babe and marry her. Hahaha i still talk to the kids i would love to marry a chick from there. Banging, fun, sexy accent. yes please.

we smoke a lot of herb and do a lot of sweet fuck all, but is that not the best way to live. oh and its the best place to really get in touch with the nature side of things, nothing beats out landscape and how much it changes form the top to bottom

My name means New Zealand in Maori. I'm from NZ. I have no input real input coz im not an outsider, but ive never heard anyone say that that didnt like going to NZ. Mellow is a word that come to mind after living overseas

some kid who robbed me moved there... my cousin married a women from there she is nice as hell

i myself have never wanted to go there. dunno why..

had a sweet music festival??

NZ is about as chill as it gets. Super nice people, amazing landscape and just about everything you could want inside half a days drive. I try to go once a year, summer or winter, and wouldn't hesitate moving there (provided I could get a job) but would probably have to lose my shitty aussie accent

Yes, the people in NZ are extremely nice. NZ is one of my favourite places in the world. Its like a second home to me. Been there 6 times now and I plan on going back next July. If you need any tips just ask...I know the place inside out, including transport etc.

Way to be a douche! Wouldn't it have been easier to post your links without insulting people?

I love NZ, been there a bunch of times, travelled around most of it when I was on a gap year, then lived in Queenstown for 4 seasons Kiwis are generally chill and nice people, obviously they have idiots there too, but in general it's all good. I really missed it this summer (even though the skiing where I was, was miles better).

Kiwi's are known for being overly nice, down to earth people. I lived there for 3 months and take it from me - the girls there are not shy. People in New Zealand are just stoked to be alive. They are not caught up on stupid insecurities like a ton of North American women are. If you have ever been to Vancouver Island or Interior BC I would describe NZ as having a similar culture.

from what i know, they're pretty chill and the bigger ones cheat in competitions.

sources:

one hundred percent of my knowledge of NZ and those who inhabit it is based on the movie rocket power: race across new zealand.

I miss when cartoons were legit like rocket power. I feel like all my little cousins watch are live action shows about whiny teens. What happened to legit cartoons like rocketpower and spongebob(before it was ruined)....

ive been there, my aunt and uncle live in auckland. it was a long time ago, i was only 11, but from what i remember everyone was insanely friendly. The people who stand out in my memory are all the Mauri people you'll meet. we had a bus driver who sang literally for 3 hours, happiest guy ever. the caving guides were also mauri and they were rad too.

and even just people we would meet at campgrounds, gas stations, anywhere. they are undeniably friendly and super nice.

how can you dislike a nation of people who call themselves Kiwis?

I live in New Zealand and if you want the best skiing, go to wanaka or queenstown. The best place for surfing/beach is anywhere in the bay of plenty or anywhere on the east coast, i prefer the north island for summer. But if i was you i would go to queenstown.
