Are parks disappearing?

My mountain went from having an epic top to bottom park, to a less than stellar segmented Park being built later in the season. To now having 2 features put up in the last week of operations

Apparently insurance has been getting pricier

vail is using COVID as an excuse to cut down on parks and their size. Just look at a51. It’s only 1/3 of the size it was last year but they still have a massive budget. Instead of building a the normal intermediate/ flow park there building 4 xl jumps, now I’m no expert but I’d say it’s easier to dig in a couple tubes than build some jumps that only pros are gonna hit

Okemo had this same problem with Vail resorts while Carinthia seemed to not suffer at all besides a lack of half pipe and moving of XL jumps to Gulch, parks aren’t dying but something fishy is definitely going on with Vail and park

Its not just happening with Vail resorts, it seems like some resorts are starting to limit size/quantity of features. My local mountain went from having a dope jump line and a decent progressive park to now 2 simple boxes and a rail with no lip... I guess its better than nothing but its a bummer to see/hear.

my local mountain actually made the park a little bigger this year, no jumps but more rails which I prefer anyway

Just got to key, excited to see the park like years before. Got on Peru and saw that the whole park shrunk. Sucks..
