Are old audi's good ski cars?

Im gettin a car pretty soon, and i have a spending limit of 5-6000. I was thinking of a good old 85 or 86 4000s Audi, but does anyone else have any ideas on what to get before i go out and do it?

generlly older ones have expensive problems (a lot of). generally; you can sometimes run into a good one but you can naver tell

dude that car I'm gonna get (hopefully) is a 1987-92 BMW 325ix. it is a 4 wheel BMW 325i! (I am almost 16) that would be a better choice in terms of $$$ and the fact that it is a bimmer!

rowen, get like a late 80's to early 90's subaru wagon (loyale or something) those are the pimp ride, im gettin one prolly. or you can get a older 4runner for under 6k, or even a older tacoma (and by older i mean like early 90's (like a 93 or something))

yeah, i mean german cars are awesome, but after a while the wiring will get screwy. Get a subaru impreza, reliable, sporty, and awd.

K, first off, im getting shit compared to my friends. My friend got a new WRX for a first car, and the parking lot at my school has two Benz 7's, a new lang rover, 5 new Audi's and a Escalade.

The way that i pay for it is that i front half of the cost, my parents the other. Right now i have $1700 saved, so im going to have to owe some money and work it off over summer.

Im kinda leaning towards the Audi's, because even tho the new subies totally kick ass, the old Audi's are better than the old Subarus. Looks and condition have a lot to do with that too. Most of the Audi's i've looked at were pretty nice, most of the subies look like dirty old hatchbacks.

4runners are also something im looking into, but its hard to find a nice one at a good price. Most are overpriced according to that kelly blue book site, but whatever.

Anyways, im looking into a few ads, i'll tell you what i decide on when i do. thanks.

ha 6000$ is not alot for a first car...me personally i must pay for my car, but i got to a private school so kids get 30000$ for there cars. my friend is gunna be drivin his dads navi in 20 days, my other friend just got an audi a8, one of my other friends gets anything he wants in the 30-40k range....damn rich kids

I have far more respect for someone who can take a 3,000$ car and make it fast and nice rather than someone who buys a 30,000$ car which is already nice
