Are New SPK's a Good Buy?

I tried some out last year. they feel kinda stiff (obviously compared to my invaders). They also just feel too narrow. but it depends on what you are looking for in a ski.

spks are a boot by salomon. They are quite popular, have a very wide fit, and are not too stiff. Go to a bootfitter to try them on first and be properly sized.

correct, but he stated new spks, implying in my mind that he is referring to this seasons spk, which would be a boot.

i was talking about the ski. i have spk pros. i personally dont like them because they are good in the park only (duh they are a park boot). for the money i say no. but i got em on sale so whatever

I dont see how people have problems with them out of the park. I use mine everywhere and couldn't be happier with em. SPKs kick ass

They are so wide though. You cant possibly make a hard turn in a boot that wide. Unless you have megawide feet, these boots are only decent in the park. No way in hell i would want to be going fast in them, or skiing trees. Just that extra width is a lack of turning accuracy.

the spk was a good ski. lasted me 2 seasons and even now theyre not in bad condition. theyre pretty stiff so dont expect huge butters but theyre great on jumps
