Are my skis to long?

im 5'10 about 141lbs i have a pair of 06 line invaders there 171cm's should i get a smaller ski like 161 im having trouble doing 360's alot just doing normal stuff would a shorter ski help me out better or should i just huck myself harder to do 360's

you should have gotten a longer ski, man, especially with centermounts! I'm 5'7 and a half or something and I got 177cm skis. Look at this for advice on the 360 and such, you shouldn't have a problem if you can do the correct spin.

skis dont make the trick, the skier does. that has its pitfalls, but it is mostly true. That length is totally fine, perhaps a tad short, not long.

Centre mounts should be your height or a little more.

The reason you think that they are too long is because you are having problems 3ing. You are telling yourself its the skis but it is probably you. THe skis are short if anything.

I would read a bunch of tips on 3's and then practice them alot, when you get them your skis wont bother you like this.

skis are the right size man, i ride 177s. just keep on trying and you will get it.

they re ok man maybe you cen go a little bit bigger i'm 5'7'' and ride 176...for de 360 i don't think that 10 cm would affect too much i even think that a little bit longer skis can help cause when you start the rotation bigger skis get more momentum and they spin around almost by them selfs thats wht i felt when i changed from 160ish to 176 but anyway doesn'y make that much of a difference

I that big skis make tricks look cooler. I am about 5 9 or 5 10 and on 159s right now. Last year they were fine but now I think they are too short. Next year I think ill get like some 177s or something like that.

haha o man. im 6 "3 and weigh 170. i ski on 176, yes i no short for my height, but i dunno i jus feel i can flex and butter them way better, and any extra ski on there and i cant tweak grabs. ive had 179's 181s and 170's. and these are def the right length for me. im in love with em. so tell me im wrong but i love em for my height. o btw line chronics

I'm 5 10 150, and my shortest skis are 181s. You're having trouble spinning cuz you're learning how to spin.

I'm 6', 175-180 and ride 174 scratchs. I won them in a raffle haha. My next pair will be around 180 or so, so I think your skis are perfect. I dont want to go too long though becaue I like to rip moguls and super tight trees too, but then again i think my scratches are a bit soft cause i like to haul ass and they chatter a bunch at really high speeds
