Are my skis ruined?

Very long and painful story rather short. New 2017 skis got mounted once. Got new boots and got re-mounted so make that twice. I then wanted new bindings, so I took off my bindings by unscrewing them to find out I can't get new bindings due to mount pattern and two mounts, now the shop won'tt even remount them where they were just screwed into. Any way to fix this or should I send them off a back country peak.

depends where theyve been mounted so far and where you have left to mount them. 3 mounts total is fine as long as you mount them somewhere where the holes have some distance from the old ones, you know what i mean?

but ffs man what were you doing, leave the poor things alone haha

Yeah I should have left them alone but circumstances lead me to messing around with them. Can't mount forward or backward any farther because of mounts previously so yeah I guess they are done.

well, someone more knowledgeable than me on mounting will hopefully click this thread. but i think you can use something called heli coils here. find a good mounter who knows what he's doing tho at this point

I have heard that but didn't have much detail. Appreciate your input though.

What reason did the shop give you when they said they didn't want to remount them using the same holes? If the threads are in good shape it shouldn't be a problem (unless you completely messed them up when you unscrewed your bindings).

All they said was liability. I was just gonna throw some loc-tite,wood glue, or heli coils in them now that I’ve read up and seen other threads.
